Battlefield 3′s Post-DLC Support Depends on Fans

According to Battlefield 3 DLC Lead Designer Niklas Fegraeus, the development team’s support of BF3 after its upcoming DLC releases will depend on the player base — the team intends to follow the fans.

When asked about post-release support in an interview with AusGamers, and whether more attention will be paid to the development of BF4, Fegraeus said:

“Oh, it’s something we just have to see. We will support the players wherever they will go, that’s kind of the commitment that we make, and wherever that is, that’s where it is. And we just stick to that, and make sure that we support it all too.”

If you’re concerned about DICE abandoning BF3 to focus on BF4, show DICE what you want — keep playing BF3.

LOL, that’s just a cop-out to say “We know the majority of the players (read the mainstream folks) will move on to BF4 just cause it’s newer, so we have an excuse not to support BF3.”

I used to love that game, then they turned the Tanks into cardboard cutouts with wheels cause people (I am guessing run and gun players) were complaining about it being to difficult to kill tanks. Between that and not being able to find a server without ridiculous settings (I.E. rush or conquest games set for hundreds and hundreds of tickets that it would take hours to complete) or a tempermental host that would kick people any time they get knifed or killed more than once I just can’t get back into it. I hope that they don’t try and make the next Bad Company game anything like what they are doing now. I don’t want any Call Of Duty elements in my Battlefield, quit fixing things that aren’t broken Dice/EA. I wish they would have given BC2 more support after BF3 was released.
