Should read.

“To those who fought here in BF1942, BF2, 2142 and 1943 we are grateful you still like being sold old content from previous games.” -DICE

DICE loves veterans.
Veteran = easy sale, no lube required.

Before you start posting idiotic comments then realise that you don’t have to buy this thing. It’s your own choice to. Also it’s not just “old content”. The maps have been resized (not sure about Wake Island) and destruction has been added to them. Not to mention they have been redesigned too whilst staying true to the original.

Also:
for DICE: Veterans = long term fans they want to have fun AND of course they want them to buy their game like any company that doesn’t just throw money out the window
for EA: Veterans = what you said

Battlefield Veterans are exactly what you said. But not for the reasons you said. Like any brand, the objective is brand loyalty. Notice, Battlefield earns its loyal gamers. They are not like Sprite or Coca-Cola that fill movies and magazines with product placements or use “cool hunters” to reach out to a demographic. Quite simply, Battlefield builds a relationship with all gamers. There is something in it for everyone, and that’s what keeps them coming back, not the maps.
