Battlefield 4 December Double XP Event Delayed By EA, DICE

If you’ve played Battlefield 4 at all in the last two days, you have probably seen the above message. The Double XP/2XP December event for Battlefield Premium members has been delayed until further notice, to be “run at a later date.”

No official reason has been given for the delay, but continuing, persistent connectivity problems on multiple platforms have to be the prime suspect at this point. The last game update and server update for BF4 rolled out on December 20th, and each fixed several problems related to crashing and in-game glitches.

The next 2XP event is scheduled for January 27th, so it’s looking like Premium members will get a 2XP double dose in the new year.

Sorry guys the xp event would have caused stability issues on the ea servers as well as too many people reaching max level, and thus quitting battlefield 4, before we could release more booster packs, finally making us loose more profit.
