Battlefield: Bad Company Gameplay Teaser

Battlefield: Bad Company Trailer 3
The Battlefield series’ first appearance on consoles in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat wasn’t a great success. Digital Illusions is looking to appease fans with Bad Company, which features destructible environments – and not the cheap, “one rocket destroys the whole building” destructible, either. Think Red Faction’s geo-mod technology, but with much prettier graphics. There’s definitely potential for a solid Battlefield game on consoles, and seeing as Warhawk is exclusive to the PS3, Xbox 360 will be drooling over this plenty. This is definitely a game to keep an eye out for, but you’ll have to wait until 2008 to get your hands on this bad boy.

Battlefield 2 on the PC is by far my favourite online game but the console version I played on the PS2 was rubbish. I’m a bit disappointed this hasn’t been announced yet for the PC because I really don’t like FPS’s on consoles.

This on the PC would be pure win. Honestly, it would be.

Few things to point out that I liked:

-Knocking through a building with a heavily armoured vehicle. Makes so much frikkin’ sense and very cool.
-Apparently, there will be explosions a-plenty.
-Looks smooth and the amount of weapons looks fun.
-I know it might already be known, but the idea of a scaled down Battlefield truly is great, so I still like the idea of having copter’s and tank’s.
-And for what it’s worth, this remix of the theme is very good. Might not seem like much, but I really liked the 2142 remix of the main theme.

All in all, a PC version would be fantastic, but if not, just another game I’ll have to convince a friend to get.

The irony is that you can do all that sort of stuff in Crysis (knocking through buildings with tanks, plentyof ka-boom smexyness, and apparently it runs smoothly).

Though, seeing a more team-based shooter with those neat features and apparently humorous storyline, I pray to the gods and godesses of gaming that this will be made into a PC title.

Doubt they would ever release a PC version. Console sales are just a lot higher, no need to port to the PC right away.

Battlefield 2 has sold over 2 million copies on the PC. Only one 360 game has sold more than that.

Yep. Though, the real issue would be makng BFBC compatibile with older hardware, since Battlefield 2 was released in the midst of the whole upgrades–and was compatible with a wide range of computers, both high and low end.
