The game based on the popular Battlestar Galactica show is set to release next week on both the PC and Xbox 360. While the space flight shooter will be available only through the Xbox Live Arcade (800 Microsoft Points or $10) to Xbox 360 owners, those on PC will be able to purchase it via digital download or retail for $19.99. Online multiplayer is among the game’s features, with support for up to eight players on the Xbox 360 and 16 on PC.

Developed by Auran, which is the team behind the recently released MMO Fury, Battlestar Galactica will be released on PC next Tuesday, October 23, with the XBLA release being on Wednesday, October 24.

Hopefully this won’t be a cash-in and will actually be worth the money.
