Bethesda Seeks ‘Future Generation Console Programmer’ For Unannounced Game

Rumors of Fallout 4‘s development are abound, and regardless of Bethesda’s plans with the universe, it would appear that the studio is likely to develop its future titles on the next generation of consoles in addition to (or instead of) the Xbox 360 and PS3, which are both well past their prime.

The Fallout 4 rumor has since been discredited as a hoax (via Gameranx), but Bethesda’s job posting for a “future generation console programmer” is definitely real. According to the listing, the studio is searching for “experienced programmers to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future-generation consoles.” (via NeoGAF)

Interested applicants are required to have at least five years of game development experience, with multiple shipped titles under their belt. The listing also recommends having prior experience with DirectX 11 and Bethesda titles.

It’s unknown what title they will be working on, but given Bethesda’s release schedule, it shouldn’t be too long before the developer announces the game.
