Bethesda Swears Hearthfire Didn’t Delay Dawnguard Ps3

If you’re a PS3 owner who bought Skyrim, you’re probably feeling pretty ripped off. Xbox players got to play Dawnguard on June 26th, and PC gamers have had their vampire fighting fun since August 2. Meanwhile, PS3 owners still don’t have their version of Dawnguard, and release is still very much TBD. And now, as if to add insult to previous insult, just this week Bethesda announced Hearthfire, which will launch (you guessed it) on XBLA next week.

You might assume hat Bethesda just is prioritizing PS3, and some people are even assuming they’re going so far as to divert resources from the PS3 version of Dawnguard to make Hearthfire. Relax, says Besthesda, that’s totally not the case. Pete Hines took to Twitter to clear up any confusion, saying “We are working on multiple projects, even beyond those two things. The entire team doesn’t work on one thing at a time.”

Yeahyeahyeah, we know he’s right. But come on. Seriously. Hurry up. Some of us might know people who have Skyrim on PS3 and are really getting impatient.

This is a big part of why I got Skyrim for PC instead of PS3. Fallout 3 and New Vegas showed me that Bethesda’s engines just don’t get along with the PS3 and that they don’t have much of a clue on what to do about it.

The other reason is all those mods.
