Beyond Good and Evil HD Walkthrough

Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest games of all time, Beyond Good & Evil is a third-person action-puzzler that puts players in control of Jade, a camera-packing investigator hoping to get to the bottom of a vast conspiracy. Combining stealth, combat, and the aforementioned puzzle solving, Jade traverses her home planet, searching for the clues that will enable her to protect her realm from the DomZ, an evil alien species that enslaves people and sucks the life out of them (like all the best alien species do, after all).

Accompanied by a cast of anthropomorphic animals, and transported in a hovercraft (and later a spaceship, named the Beluga), the game‘s spunky heroine faces danger at every turn. Eight years after the original’s release, an HD-quality remastered version is available for download, but the threat is not diminished. The full walkthrough below will help you defeat the DomZ and cope with anything that tries to end Jade’s green-lipsticked life. We also have pages with lists of achievements and trophies.

  1. Once the opening cutscene ends you’re thrown into action against the invading aliens – the DomZ. Take a moment to acquaint yourself with the controls, for now combat is simple. Follow the onscreen prompt in the upper left corner of the screen. Use your combat staff to destroy the surrounding enemies.
  2. The floating aliens are not overly difficult. Use the dodge action to keep from being surrounded. If you are surrounded, change directions while attacking to hit enemies before they can strike you. One hit from Jade’s combat staff will stop an enemy’s attack. Once these DomZ are defeated, you’ll be treated to a short cutscene.
  3. After the cutscene ends, you’ll be surrounded by spikes in a cage. Hold down the attack button until Jade’s combat staff glows red then release. Now that you’re free of the spike cage, you’ll face off against a mini-boss.
  4. Your new pig friend will suggest using the charge attack against the large creature in the center of the arena. That’s the trick to winning; release your charge attack and pummel the eye once it’s at ground level. The mini-boss has a few attacks to look out for. It summons tentacles that will grab Pey’J, and summons two DomZ; solve both problems with a few quick attacks. It’s most dangerous attack is a laser, the creature will rear back and glow blue as it charges. Simply run around to avoid it. Remember, use Jade’s charge attack, and then attack the eye. Repeat the process a few times and you’ll win.
  5. Once the creature goes down, run over and pick up the Pearl left behind by the boss. Alpha Section will drop down into the cave via elevator. You can stick around and talk to the soldier or Pey’J if you want. When you’re ready, run into the light and you’ll be lifted into another cutscene.

Home / Lighthouse 1

  1. After Jade wakes up, you’ll want to grab her camera. Snap a picture of the red beetle flying around the room and you’ll get paid for your effort. Keep an eye out for new animals to take snapshots of throughout the game. Continue taking pictures and you’ll be rewarded with cash. After eight pictures, you’ll be given a special item.
  2. Your first goal is to make enough money to pay your power bill. You’re allowed to wonder around the Lighthouse grounds. There are a few things you’ll want to do here before moving on. To complete your first goal, simply take a picture of one of the human children and goat children wondering around inside.
  3. There are multiple items inside the kitchen on the first floor, first snatch the three health items sitting inside the refrigerator. Kick the stove to find another food pickup. Kick the barrel between the stove and the refrigerator to reveal a fly. Snap a picture of it for cash.
  4. Head upstairs and take a picture of your dog – he’s a big white animal sleeping in an alcove across from the stairs. Open the bathroom door and take the heart-shaped container. It will increase your health gauge by one heart.
  5. Press the button to continue to the roof of the lighthouse. Get a picture of a seagull here or down on the island grounds. While heading back to the ground floor, look inside Jade’s room for another Starkos food item. If you ever get confused at any time, press select to look over your map.
  6. Head outside, by now you should have collected more than enough money to pay the power bill. Once you reach 350 units the bill will be automatically paid and a new mission will become available. Take a picture of the orange field armadillo near the lighthouse entrance or one of the seagulls near the cliffs if you missed them on the roof.
  7. Follow the hovering robot into the Hangar. He’ll be waiting for you opposite the Lighthouse entrance. Once you’re in the Hangar, run downstairs to collect some items. Walk out onto the dock and look into the water, use your camera and try to get a shot of the fish darting around underwater. Now that you’ve taken pictures of eight different animals, you’ll get a zoom lens as a reward for your camera. This will come in handy, try to get it early.
  8. Head back upstairs and follow the robot into Pey’j’s workshop. Grab the Mdisk and access the computer terminal near Pey’j. Keep an eye out for Mdisk Players, they’re scattered around the world and act as save points. Access the Mdisk when you’re ready and watch the cutscene.
  9. Return to the dock and talk to Pey’j, asking him about recharging the hovercraft. He’ll ask you to push a large transformer. Run around the other side and push the transformer toward the hovercraft, Pey’j will help out. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Hovercraft. Once the doors to the hovercraft open, just jump in and drive off.
  10. Now that you’re on open waters, your hovercraft will begin breaking down. Use your compass to find Mammago’s Garage and drive toward it. Sadly, the hovercraft won’t make the trip. After a quick tow, you’ll be in Mammago’s hovercraft Garage.

Mammago Garage 1

  1. Your goal now is to buy a new hovercraft engine. Take pictures of the rhinos, and snap a picture of Pey’j. Enter into the store, you’ll find rows of vending machines that come in two flavors. The first are unit vending machines, these sell healing items and upgrades through your easy-unit card. Just use them and select an item to buy. The other vending machines are larger and sell hovercraft parts in exchange for DomZ Pearls.
  2. Use the hovercraft vending machine near the entrance to get your hands on a new engine. You already have the one Pearl you need, but you’ll have to collect Pearls later to purchase parts.
  3. Once the engine is installed, you’re free to leave.
  4. After leaving, a DomZ Sea Serpent will attack. Chase after it and fire the hovercraft’s gun as fast as you can, boosting your engines to keep up with the monster. Dodge the spike mines it drops or shoot them. Keep shooting the Sea Serpent until all of its sections break off. Destroy the head and you’ll be rewarded with another Pearl.
  5. With that fun out of the way, check your compass and drive toward Black Isle. It’s past the city. Take the canal into the city to witness some damage, then exit out the opposite end and turn right. You’ll see a large island. Drive the hovercraft into the cave entrance to begin the mission.

Black Isle

  1. Dock your hovercraft and run upwards to activate a cutscene. Once it’s over, be aware of the Mdisk player to the right of the hovering stretch limo. Save if you want and head deeper inside Black Isle.
  2. Walk down the first corridor, following the curve into a large room. On the way you might notice another path, ignore that for now. Inside the large room are two floor switches marked with white pointers. Have Jade stand on one and press the partner command button to order Pey’j to stand on the other. Check the prompt in the top right corner of the HUD to see what button your partner is mapped to.
  3. Once you and Pey’j are pressed both buttons simultaneously, the door blocking your path will open. Head through it and into the Ancient Mine. Walk to the far end of the room and talk to Pey’j. You’ll get a cutscene demonstrating his new ability – the rocket jump. A rocket jump sounds useful, but in this case, it functions as a ground pound attack. Walk onto the large scale and stand on top of a flattened panel. Use the partner command and Pey’j will stomp on the opposite panel, giving Jade enough of a boost to reach the next floor. Circle around the walkway until you see two beams with a gear in the middle. Use the action button to turn the gear, this will lower two catwalks.
  4. Use the newly lowered catwalk to cross the gap. Take a picture of the map on the board then move on. The mine is filled with new creatures to take pictures of; anything and everything that moves is considered an animal. First up is an orange fungus. Take a picture, and then order Pey’j to rocket jump. The shockwave will force the center of the fungus to rise, allowing you to launch it toward objects with a quick attack. Get used to this new mechanic – ordering Pey’j to rocket jump, attacking, and lining up the shot with your new reticule. Destroy both piles of explosives by launching the floating fungus. The fungus will always respawn, so don’t worry about practicing.
  5. The right most pile of explosives covers an alcove with a few goodies. Head inside and grab them, then continue onto the cliff wall. You’ll be blocked by a purple fungus, take a picture and swat it until the tendrils retract. It will drops some material crystals; a fancy name for cash dropped by enemies. Each is worth five units.
  6. Continuing on, Pey’j will stop in front of a grating. There’s no way through the metal gratings yet. Instead, turn around and head down the path marked by train tracks and a mine cart loaded with explosives. Push the cart down the tracks toward another raised catwalk. Turn around to find another orange fungus; order Pey’j to use his super action and the orange center will pop right out. Swat the ball into the cart of explosives to lower the walkway and continue.
  7. Past the walkway you’ll face a new enemy. They fly around and behave exactly like the DomZ from your first fight. Just attack them before they charge up. Take a snapshot of the glowing floating dots before leaving the area.
  8. Continue forward to find another mine cart. Push it into the wooden barrier with your companion’s help, and then turn the gear between two beams in the corner – lowering the metal hinge. Use the cart to climb up into the hopper.
  9. You’ll be entering the Secondary Shaft now, and prepare for combat. Jellyfish-like enemies and flying bugs will be your main concern. The Jellies are tame and can be launched like the orange fungus. Just continue down the walkway fighting enemies and taking snapshots of any of the new animals. Ignore the passage to the right, just keep going forward.
  10. At the end of the Shaft you’ll find another set of pressure switches. Stand on both and head through the door into the Ancient Mine again. You’ll be inside a tool shed, with an Mdisk player for saving and a vending machine to purchase new healing items. Kick all three lockers, the locker tucked into the corner contains a new item for Pey’j. Now your pig companion can cut gratings open. Use the companion action to order Pey’j to cut down the grating blocking the room’s exit.
  11. Follow the new path, leading back into the Secondary Shaft. Continue to backtrack into the Main Shaft, past the mine cart and down the catwalk. Order Pey’j to cut through the grating that originally blocked your way. Turn right and press against the wall to inch across the chasm. Run upwards until you reach another cart stuffed with explosives. Push it along the tracks, and then return to the orange fungus you passed along the way. Order Pey’j to use his super action, it works at long range. Attack the floating sac, hitting it towards the visible explosives cart. The ensuing explosion will allow Pey’j to cross the chasm and return to your side.
  12. Now with Pey’j across, use his super action on the scales to launch Jade high enough to climb over the wall blocking your path. Jump down and use the hand-print button to open the way for Pey’j. Save at the Mdisk Player if you want to. Order Pey’j to cut down the grating blocking your path to continue deeper into the cave.
  13. Before leaving the room, be on the lookout for a rare animal. In the corner Jade used to climb inside, there is a concrete step under a metal power box. Climb onto the concrete step and kick the power box to temporarily shut off the lights. Look up and take a snapshot of the glowing worm-like creature that appears from the ceiling.
  14. Down the path previously blocked by a metal grating, you’ll enter into a large open cavern with natural rock paths in the center. You’ll immediately face new enemies, these bug-like creatures can block. To defeat them easily, simply use your companion’s super action and knock them over the ledge. These enemies can also be used as projectiles to strike the purple material crystals out of your reach.
  15. There’s a second ambush further down your path. Use the special command and attack to launch a bug into a dual set of standing catwalks to knock them over for a bonus. Otherwise, just keep fighting until the bugs stop coming. Use the gear between two beams on the cliff face to lower a platform. Climb onto the platform and up onto the raised rock platform. Use the vending machine if you need health items, and prepare to face the boss.
  16. Three more purple anemones will block your path. Use the companion special action to crush flat the third in your way, and continue into Pterolimax’s arena.
  17. Just as you enter the platform pot marked with bright blue holes, look right. Two little creatures will hop up and down out of sight. Zoom in with your camera and take a snapshot while both are raised to complete your mission.
  18. Now the real Pterolimax shows himself. This giant lizard has a few methods of attack, but if you keep moving and keep your distance, you’ll be fine. First he’ll pop out of a random hole and lob blobs of goo at you. If you’re in close range when he pops up, he’ll simply spin around in circles. Either way, order Pey’j to use his super command. The super command will stun the boss, allowing you to run in and hit him with a combo. Pterolimax will also summon Jellies and flying monsters, just focus on taking care of them when they appear. When Pterolimax flies out of his hole and begins following you, keep running until he gives up. Keep your healing items ready, and try to take a picture of the boss for some easy units.
  19. When the boss is defeated, collect your well-earned pearl and watch the cutscene. You’ll be deposited back at the entrance to the Black Isle.
  20. Instead of leaving just yet, head back inside and turn right into a room filled with water. Climb into the duct, collecting the items strewn about as you go. Take a picture of the new animals wondering around, and then order Pey’j to cut the grating. Follow the duct, jump down onto the scaffolding, and collect the PAI to increase your heart gauge by one.
  21. When you’re ready, leave the Black Isle and head south back into the City’s Main Canal.

City / Pedestrian District 1

  1. While in the city, check your compass. You’ll find entrances to racing challenges and a place labeled the Pedestrian District. Follow your compass down into a narrow passage jutting from the main canal until you get a loading screen.
  2. The Pedestrian District is a section of the central city allowing Jade to purchase items and explore closed off areas. Your goal for now is the Akuda Bar.
  3. Take note of the many species of animal-people wondering around. You’ll find walrus, goat, cow, and shark creatures inside the Akuda Bar alone. Use your camera for some easy money. You won’t be able to access Fountain Square until you’re given a City-Pass.
  4. Up an incline you’ll find a small store front to your left. He sells magazine subscriptions. Take a picture of this birdman for enough money to easily afford both 50 unit subscriptions.
  5. Follow the path marked by an Alpha Sections’ TV screen broadcasting a speech. Follow this path into the Akuda Bar.
  6. The Akuda bar has a few attractions. There’s a pellet game on the first floor, and Peepers on the second.
  7. Head upstairs to talk with Peepers. He’ll be in a station beyond the numbered hotel rooms. Talk to him and select the secret pass code option. This will initiate a game of Shells. Keep your eye on the ball and look out for his fake-outs. When you succeed he’ll hand over a ticket to Room 03. Move the object around to get a look at the pass code.
  8. Using your newly acquired ticket, use the switch for Room 03 and enter the code. It’s always random. Open your S.A.C. and press info if you need another look at the ticket.
  9. Once you’re inside, press up against the locker located in the back left corner. Use the action button and the wall will spin around, taking you to the IRIS Den. Walk inside for a cutscene.
  10. After the cutscene, you’ll get a City-Pass. Pick up the Mdisk along the computer consoles, and use the Mdisk player for more information on your new mission.
  11. Before leaving, stop to talk with a man moping at the bar. Ask about his problems. He’ll reveal one of the Sharks is hiding something. The Shark sitting in a booth with a woman has a code ticket on the table. Carefully sneak up behind him and position the camera to look at his ticket. The code opens Room 02 upstairs, rewarding you with an easy pearl and a few boosts.
  12. With the City-Pass, leave the Akuda Bar and turn right. Follow the railings and through a passage into Fountain Square. There’s an open air shop selling wares. They will consistently restock with Pearls for 3000 units. Purchase one if you’re low on pearls.
  13. Another store called Ming-Tzu’s shop is now available. Look for the neon sign marking the entrance. Talk to Ming-Tzu to purchase some items. You’ll find some special items here.
  14. There are three unique items that Ming-Tzu sells: the Animal Locater, the Pearl Locater, and the Super-Attack Strengthened. The Animal Locater and Pearl Locater will mark animals and pearls you haven’t taken pictures of/discovered yet. The Super-Attack Strengthened adds a unique ability to Jade’s charge attack. After launching the charge attack, it allows the player to mash the attack button to launch homing attacks on surrounding enemies.
  15. Ming-Tzu also sells Pearls, at the more expensive price of 3999. He’ll receive more as the game continues, so check back if you need an easy pearl.
  16. Many of the doors around the Pedestrian City are locked, marked with colored shapes. These doors block closed sections of the city. You’ll be able to explore these areas once you get the proper keycards.
  17. When you’re done checking out the Pedestrian District, return to your hovercraft and head for Mammago Garage.

Mammago Garage 2

  1. Your new goal is to get inside the Factory. Right now, Alpha Sections security robots protect the entrance. You’ll need a new upgrade from Mammago Garage to defeat them.
  2. Enter the hallway of display cases when you reach Mammago’s. Look for the gun-shaped object listed for 5 pearls. Buying it will give the Hovercraft a lock-on charge shot. Just hold down the shoot button and wait for the reticule to lock onto your target. This long range attack is perfect for the Alpha Section guard bots blocking passage to the Factory.
  3. If you need more Pearls, read the following instructions. If not, make a beeline for the Factory. Use your compass, when heading back through the City’s Main Canal; just hang a left instead of the right to reach the Black Isles.

Vorax’s Lair

  1. To find Vorax’s Lair, check your map while in Hylias. You’ll see red lines blocking off some islands on the Southern section of the map. Look for a spot where the black outline of the eastern continent is open near the southern edge of the map. Follow the sandy beach into a cave to enter Vorax’s Lair.
  2. Vorax’s Lair is an optional location. Optional locations litter the map and more will become available as the games goes on. Vorax’s Lair is one of the first accessible. Expect to always be rewarded with pearls at the end of every optional area, they’re a fun and short way to get the pearls you’ll need throughout Beyond Good & Evil’s story.
  3. Dock the hovercraft and follow the pier up to the grass landing. Take a picture of the frogs and check the locker for a PAI with two boosts.
  4. Use Pey’j to open a corner of the large grating, he’ll comment on something called a Pearl Crochax. It’s just like a normal Crochax, except carrying a pearl. Follow it and you’ll be ambushed by more large bipedal bugs. Use Pey’j to knock them up and launch them at the raised walkway to knock it down.
  5. Follow the walkway onto another stone platform. Jellies will attack with mutant spores. Don’t let them surround you, and send them flying with your companion’s super action.
  6. Once the combat is over, use the companion super action to bounce the orange bag upwards. Attack it to knock down both walkways. Follow the left hand walkway, using your companion again to launch another fungus explosive at the raised walkway across the chasm.
  7. Turn around and follow the rightmost path, leaping and climbing while fighting a few more Crochax. At the end of the road, you’ll face the Pearl Crochax. Defeat it and you’re done. Trace your steps back to the hovercraft.


  1. Hit select to look over your current objectives. The Factory is the next important location, located in the northwestern corner of the map, down a long straight body of water.
  2. With the new cannon bought from Mammago’s, charge up a shot to take down the guard robot. Now that the robot is disabled, head straight through the large square entrance.
  3. Dock alongside the pipes. You’ll need to climb into a circular drain marked by a foot ladder. Whenever a wall is marked with a foot ladder, know it can be climbed.
  4. You’ll be blocked by a locked red console projecting a bar code. Take a picture of the bright red monitor. The Governor will send you a message with the console pass code. Every pass code in the game is random, so check your mail as it arrives.

Elevator Room

  1. Through the locked door you’ll enter the Elevator Room. Right away you’ll face a grate. You know the drill, order Pey’j to cut through. This time you’ll also need to kick the grate to open it.
  2. The path to your left is blocked with an electric gate. Go left instead, dodging forward to leap over the red lasers and sneaking to duck under them. Press the handprint button to turn the red lasers off, allowing Pey’j through.
  3. Past the lasers, you’ll be in another room with an exit blocked by an electric gate. There’s a large wooden box off to the side of a trough. Push the box into the trough, then towards the electric gate with Pey’j helping. Climb onto the box and leap down to get over the gate.
  4. Now you’re inside the Elevator Room. This is a hub for this section of the factory. The elevator itself needs repairs – its machinery is busted, it has no power, and it needs a fuse box.
  5. The first step to fixing the elevator is using Pey’j near the pile of destroyed machinery on the left hand side of the elevator doors. You’ll get a quick cutscene as he fixes the mess.
  6. Next, continue right until you reach a door labeled “Laboratory”. Open it and head inside.
  7. Inside the West Wing you’ll find a passage and a button for the Service Elevator. Ignore the Service Elevator for now and follow the passage into the Laboratory.
  8. The Laboratory is a cold storage area, secured by another electric gate. Push the large light-bulb shaped columns into the slots next to both electric gate generators. The electricity will arc into the columns safely, allowing you entrance into the back room.
  9. Kick your way past the rats to open the locker in the back of the room for another easy pearl. Also, you’ll find a rare fly sitting on the nose of the rotting cow in the middle of the room. Look closely, he’s there.
  10. Return to the West Wing and hit the Service Elevator button. The elevator doors will open with a mob of little enemies. Fight defensively here, swatting at the enemies as they fling themselves at you. Open the S.A.C. menu to pass Starkos food items to Pey’j if he’s low on health.
  11. Once the enemies are dealt with, Jade should stand inside the elevator and order Pey’j to press the button. You’ll have to separate from Pey’j for now.
  12. Cross the metal walkway and approach another electric gate. A new robotic enemy will ambush you, this one with a powerful laser. Jade won’t be able to destroy it with her staff. Instead, position yourself so your attacks send the Guardian into the electric gate. Both the Guardian and the electric gate will short out.
  13. Through the door you’ll find Double H stuck inside a DomZ pod. Take a snapshot to send to the Governor. With this evidence, she’ll provide you with another code.
  14. Now take a picture of the coded monitor attached to a locker in the corner. The Governor will send you a message with the code to unlock it. Open it for a new item.
  15. Jade now has the Gyrodisk Launcher. Aim at the DomZ creature above Double H in the pod and shoot it a few times to free him.
  16. Now that Double H is free, he’ll be your companion. Look at the barred grill along the back wall of the room and order him to use his companion action. He’ll charge straight through it, opening the way.
  17. Follow Double H into the pipe-filled maintenance shaft. You’ll need to shimmy along the wall and jump across a barrier to reach the other end of the room. Use the precariously placed Mdisk player to save and then shimmy into the narrow corner filled with pipes opposite the Mdisk player.
  18. You’ll be returned to the Elevator room with the right tool for the job. Pey’j is waiting for you. The Reaper is waiting for you as well.
  19. After a cutscene, you’ll be facing another boss. The Reaper attacks in a few different ways, mostly by launching green balls of slime at you or generating a ring of green balls around himself. First, he’ll try to eat Pey’j. Attack the Reaper to send him leaping around the room. Follow him with your camera and dodge any incoming green pellets. Shoot him with your new gyrodisk launcher when you have the opportunity.
  20. After being shot, he’ll leap into the air and try to stomp on you from above. Just keep running away from him to dodge his attack. Next he’ll launch green slime if you’re far away or generate a ring of slime if you’re close. Either way, try to take a shot at him with the gyrodisk launcher. He’ll cower and use Pey’j as a human (Pig?) shield. Now, instead of firing disks, just hit the Reaper with a combo from Jade’s staff.
  21. Fight the Reaper until he stops in the center of the tri-angled walkways. Give him one last swipe of your staff to win the battle.
  22. You still have an elevator to fix. Stand in front of the active electricity gate on the right side of the room. Look up and you’ll see the broken electrical cable. Fire a gyrodisk at the hanging un-powered cable to drop it close to the electricity gate. Electricity will arc into the cable, restoring power to the elevator. Now the fuse box is left.
  23. Run to the left side of the run and enter the door labeled “Electrical Closet”. You’ll face swinging cables arcing electricity. Watch their swinging motion to dodge and continue into the closet. At the far end of the hallway you’ll find a smaller room with a vending machine. Above the vending machine is a broken fan blade. Shoot the long blade to spin it around and face the door switch, returning power to the door.
  24. Head through the door and into a large room featuring a power generator in the center. Run behind the generator to grab the Triangle Keycard. A little robot will wake up, and it’s susceptible to the ground-pound/launch combo. Destroy it and use the keycard on the front of the generator.
  25. After swiping the triangle card, a metal shutter will open revealing a new bunch of robots. Try to knock one of the bots into the electric gate to disable it and grab the PAI item inside. Once all the robots are dead, collect both fuse boxes along the outline of the generator.
  26. Return to the Elevator Room and insert the fuse box into the slot right of its doors. Finally, the elevator will come to life. Call it down and ride it up into the Upper Hall.

Upper Hall

  1. The elevator lifts Jade and Pey’j into the Upper Hall. Cross over into the next room and clear out the robot ambush.
  2. A large wooden door blocks your way, so instead climb the platforms set along the corner of a metallic vat. Walk along to reach a vent. Kick the grating off to climb inside.
  3. Jade now finds herself above X-Ray Verification. Run along the path, continuing into a closed off area.
  4. Jump down onto another pipe and keep your distance from the bars to take a picture of an albino rat. Climb back up and continue down the original path to reach the Loading Dock.
  5. The Loading Dock is sparse, kick the grating blocking your path to find you’re stuck. With nowhere else to go, turn back around and head back to the Upper Hall.
  6. While returning to the Upper Hall, you’ll get a cutscene. Pey’j has been caught. Climb back down to floor level and you’ll see a push-able crate.
  7. Push the crate against the wooden door and climb up. Use your camera to look through the slit and fire a gyrodisk at the button on the right wall. The door will open, giving Jade access to another Mdisk player.
  8. The path forward is blocked by yet another laser gate. Kick the grating just left of the gate to bypass it and enter the Shipping Room.
  9. Continue forward, climbing into the narrow passage to speak with Double H. He’ll warn you about being caught. This is when a new mechanic is introduced to the game – sneaking. From this point on, any encounter with the Alpha Sections will require stealth.
  10. Crawl through the vent, the Alpha Sections can’t reach you yet, so just keep moving.
  11. You’ll exit the vent into a sewer-like area filled with flies. Shimmy along the ledge, and then stay low. Alpha Sections are ahead.
  12. Two enemies stand guard in this room. Take note of the two pit entrances in the corner. If you’re ever caught, run and hide inside these pits. Most of the rooms ahead will have these pits, so take note of their locations if you’re caught.
  13. A few notes on stealth in Beyond Good & Evil. Alpha Sections go on alert if they hear a noise – such as running or gyrodisk shots. They also go on alert if they see you. Watch the glowing beam of light emanating from their helmets; it indicates where they’re looking and what stage of alertness they’re at. Green is good, purple they’ve heard a noise and search, red is combat. You’ll learn more about stealth as the game continues. For now, avoid being seen and stick to the shadows.
  14. Most rooms containing guards will be closed off with special laser fences that only activate on red alerts. These fences will always block your path, so if you’re caught simply run away and hide until the alert is called off. If a guard becomes suspicious they won’t activate.
  15. Before sneaking past the guards, watch the large monitor above the conveyor belt. It will flash X-Ray images of the humans being trafficked. Take a picture.
  16. Both of the guards in this room don’t move. Stay low and sneak by. As long as you sneak and don’t touch them, you’ll be fine.
  17. Cross the door and turn left. Two more guards ahead, one walks up and down along the waist high barrier while the other stands still. Sneak by using the barrier’s shadow as cover.
  18. The next door opens into a hallway. One guard patrols up and down, with little cover. Wait for him to turn around and peg his green air tank with a gyrodisk. One stealth hit to the air tank will disable the Alpha Sections, with one more hit to finish them off.
  19. Double H is having some trouble with the flames ahead. Shoot the hand-print buttons under each flame jet to shut them off. Hit them in order, from first to third to allow Double H across safely. You’ll still be separated, so order Double H to act. He’ll press the button in his booth, shutting down the red laser barrier.
  20. Another Alpha Section Guard is standing still down your path. Instead of walking in front of him, climb up the steps and onto the glass structure above him. Hop down from the ledge to bypass the Guard, or finish him off.
  21. Continuing on, duck down before hanging a left. Two guards are patrolling the doorway to an offshoot room. Sneak by them, using the waist-high barrier’s shadow as cover, or try to take them out.
  22. You’re finally returning to X-Ray Verification. A large conveyer belt is moving crates to the left, with red lasers to the right. Shut down the lasers to backtrack to the Upper Hall and the Mdisk player, if you want to save. Otherwise, use the moving crates as cover to block a watching guard’s vision.
  23. Instead of rushing forward, hang a right into a passageway before moving beyond the huge X-Ray machine.
  24. Climb down the boxes and kick past the rats in the closet. The right path leads to a vending machine, use the left path to reach the Nutripils Vat.
  25. The namesake Vat is straight ahead. Sneak along the right side of the vat to press a button, activating a turning gear. The guard blocking your path will come investigate. Sneak around the opposite end to bypass him.
  26. Next is another room surrounded by conveyor belts and electricity gates. Use the hand print button to get an Mdisk. Use your Triangle Keycard to open the locker. You’ll find the rocket boots belonging to Pey’j. If you haven’t already, take a picture of the map hung on the right wall.
  27. Continue into the anteroom and approach the electric gate. Two Guardian robots will ambush Jade. Use both of them to short circuit the electric gates. The gate in the previous conveyor room guards an Mdisk player and another Mdisk.
  28. Return to the Nutripils Vat from the Computer Room and head into Routing. Ignore the keycard door and the red lights; just navigate the blue laser barriers. Leap and crawl under until you’re faced with another closed door.
  29. Press the hand-print button before stepping onto the metal bridge. The button activates two laser barriers and opens the door. You’ll have limited time to cross. Use your dodge to leap under the closing door.
  30. Stay low as you sneak past the new blue barrier. Wait for the guard on the upper platform to turn around before sneaking into the vent marked with inactivated red laser barriers. Head through the vent until you emerge behind the platform. Climb on up. Go ahead and try to disable the guard if you’re brave, or just sneak onto the elevator.
  31. Next up is two Alpha Sections circling a barrier. Wait for both to face away before slowly following one of them. Stick to the shadows and stay low, you’ll get by these two easily.
  32. Through the door and into another large conveyor filled room, with multiple Alpha Sections looking in different directions. Stay low and follow the Nutripils crate along its conveyor path, use it as cover. When the crate stops, jump and hang off the side as it’s lifted by a crane. You’ll drop down onto another conveyor belt, safely away from this confusing room.
  33. Now you’re in the Control Room. Use the Mdisk player and shimmy along the ledge. You’ll get an ugly look at the Alpha Sections without their masks on.
  34. When Jade is back on flat land, you’ll be facing an electric barrier hanging from the ceiling. Shoot a gyrodisk at the button in the center of the contraption on the ceiling to send a platform to your side of the chasm. Stand on the platform and shoot the same button again for the platform to cross over. Just remember to duck.
  35. Crawl into another room featuring a strange metal device in the center. A single guard watches the exit. He turns left, right, and center. Wait for him to look away, and then kick him in the air tank.
  36. Just ahead you’ll run into moving blue barriers. Leap over the low barriers, run under the high barriers. Take your time and it’ll be a snap.
  37. Double H will remind you to take a picture of the helmet-less Alpha Section in the control room across from your vantage. Get a mug shot to publish your findings.
  38. Stay hidden in the shadows below the railings of the next room. Two guards patrol back and forth. Just wait for them to turn around and walk toward the exit. Follow in between them to get by unnoticed.
  39. A single guard circles the next room. Hide in the shadows, wait for him to face away in his patrol, and hit his air tank with a gyrodisk.
  40. Stay low as you cross into the next guarded area. Two enemies patrol the mess of machinery. Take your time and stick to the shadows to succeed here. You need to access a locker located in the opposite corner from where Jade first entered. The Purple Square Keycard will allow Jade to shut down the red laser barrier. Run past the deactivated barrier to return to Routing.
  41. Directly forward is another Purple Square Door. Use your keycard and you’ll return to X-Ray Verification.
  42. Take out the pesky guard leaving his air tank exposed. Shut down the laser barrier, and look at the door the Alpha Section was guarding.
  43. Take a picture of the coded monitor and enter the code. Finally, you’ve made it back to the Loading Dock.
  44. Raise your camera to activate a cutscene in the Loading Dock.
  45. Jade now must face a DomZ boss. The creature inside the center cage is your target, but he’s stuck inside for now. This boss has two attacks, a foot stomp and a laser fired from his center mass. Focus on attacking his legs for now until Double H show up to help.
  46. When Double H arrives, you’ll be able to damage the boss. Fight whichever leg Double H isn’t, you’ll need to attack his legs simultaneously. Begin a combo, dodging to avoid his foot stomp, and then order Double H to attack. If both legs are raised at the same time, the creature will fall and the center cages will swing open. Shoot the floating DomZ eye with your gyrodisk. Continue these steps until the boss is defeated.
  47. Pick up the DomZ pearl on your way out, using the newly smashed electric gate to leave. Enter the elevator with Double H to return to the West Wing.
  48. Jump off the platform into the room below, Double H will help lead you back to the Elevator Room. Check your map; it’s time to get back to your hovercraft parked in the Factory Entrance.
  49. Back at the Factory Entrance, you’ll see your exit blocked. Fight the flying animals and order Double H to knock out the metal grating just past the Crochax attack. Use your spare fuse box on the sparking device in the center of the room. The door blocking your exit will rise.
  50. After a short cutscene, you’ll need to hurry back to the Isis Den in the Pedestrian District. Just run back to your hovercraft, waiting for Double H to follow. Don’t let him get stuck here, take your time.
  51. You might only have 4:30 to get back to the Isis Den, but the time limit is forgiving. Instead of leaving immediately, follow the second path back into the Elevator Shaft with your Hovercraft. That’s where you’ll find the Reaper’s Pearl. Turn around and exit the Factory.

City / Pedestrian District 2

  1. After completing the Factory, you’ll have to rush back to the Isis Den located inside the Akuda Bar in the Pedestrian District. Hold down run/boost. Check the map if you’re ever lost and you’ll make it with time to spare.
  2. Once you’re in the Pedestrian District, don’t worry if Double H is following you. Whenever you hit a loading screen he’ll warp to your position.
  3. When you reach the Isis Den, you’ll get a cutscene. Your next goal is the Slaughterhouse, but you won’t be able to get there without another upgrade from Mammago Garage. For completing the Factory, a door will open in the Isis Den containing five Pearls. Grab them and head out for Mammago’s.

Mammago Garage 3

  1. Now you’ll need 15 pearls to purchase the Hovercraft jump upgrade.
  2. There are a few ways to earn pearls if you don’t yet have enough. Use your compass to spot the races inside the City; you’ll earn a pearl for each race if you come in first.
  3. Check the shops in the Pedestrian District for more pearls to purchase. Ming-Tzu’s and the open market below Fountain Square should each have another pearl to buy.
  4. On the second floor of the Akuda Bar, enter Room 01 and talk to the moping goat-man about his problems. He’ll give you an Alpha Sections ticket. Leave the bar and run to Fountain Square. Follow the right-most steps up and turn around, using the railings as a guide. Open the Purple Square locked door with your keycard. Once inside the Shed, kick away the rats and use the locker. Open your S.A.C. to check the pass code printed on the Alpha Section ticket given to you by the goat-man. Use the code and you’ll get an easy pearl.
  5. There are also two closed off sections in the Pedestrian District you might want to explore now. Look below for more information: Alpha Sections Und. Quarters, and Transit.


  1. Look for the entrance to Transit directly opposite the open-air shop near Fountain Square in the Pedestrian District. Take some steps up to face an unmarked door. Go through it and you’ll be inside the Transit sector.
  2. Push the locker out of your way and squeeze through the crack. You’ll have to go alone.
  3. Sneak under the first set of yellow lasers, and forward roll over the second. You’ll eventually reach a balcony.
  4. Turn around and down a hall leading to a moving conveyor belt. Ride with the conveyor belt towards a wooden platform. Jump down and ride this conveyor to another platform. Jump down again, this time running against the conveyor to reach a platform. Use the platform to leap across onto a balcony.
  5. Continue down the path and ride another conveyor belt. Turn right and hop off using the platform before the conveyor takes Jade into the red laser barrier. Ride the belt to another platform and leap off.
  6. You’ll face two yellow laser fields. Forward roll over the first and duck under the second, immediately moving right onto the platform and jumping onto another conveyor, taking Jade to another rising conveyor with two laser fields. Duck and roll, hopping onto another conveyor from the platform.
  7. Duck and roll over two more laser fields, and ignore the platform to your left. Continue up the conveyor, and jump off the right platform.
  8. Ignore the platform to Jade’s right as she lands. Duck and roll through the yellow lasers, and use the second platform to continue.
  9. The next conveyor is moving Alpha Sections barrels down. Use the platforms to Jade’s right while running against the conveyor, waiting for the crates to pass by then running to the next platform. Jump off the third platform.
  10. Another crate conveyor belt, this time with laser grids. Wait on the platform, just as the barrel passes, duck and roll over the yellow lasers. Wait in the right platform, and then cross over to the left, hopping onto the final conveyor belt.
  11. Roll over the yellow lasers, and climb the boxes to claim a pearl. Ride the conveyor belt to the exit.

Alpha Sections Und. Quarters

  1. Find this optional sector across from the Akuda Bar.
  2. Check the Triangle Door, open it, and push the large crate back against the wall with Double H’s help. Crawl into the cracked wall and head down the hallway.
  3. You’ll reach a blue barrier. Duck under it and climb down, where you’ll face a large shaft filled with red lasers.
  4. Wait for the red laser grid to shut down, and then drop down. Hang off the next ledge, waiting for the two lasers to move into the top left most corner of the box.
  5. More spinning red lasers; wait for both lasers to pass before sneaking into the next piece of cover. Climb down to the next challenge.
  6. Shimmy a long the pipes, waiting for the lasers to turn off before moving forward. Simply take your time.
  7. Drop down and begin shimmying. As you approach the red laser barrier, another laser will appear and give chase. Wait by the red lasers until they shut off, before crossing. Be patient, the chasing laser isn’t as dangerous as it appears.
  8. Dropping again, you’ll face red lasers horizontally sweeping across vents. Wait for the laser to move to a safe distance, then either drop to the next vent or forward roll over the laser. After three vents, you’ll land above an Alpha Sections checkpoint.
  9. On the glass ceiling, sneak into the vent lined with blue barriers. Avoid them as you progress, and climb out into a metallic hallway. Jump over the blue barrier and you’ll get a fly-over of your next challenge.
  10. The security point ahead is filled with laser turrets, red laser barriers, and two patrolling Alpha Sections soldiers. Sneak under the blue lasers and behind the piece of cover marked with a white triangle.
  11. Wait in cover until a soldier passes, then follow closely behind. The red lasers will shut off as the guards make their rounds. Stick closely behind before climbing into the vent previously pointed out in the cinematic fly-by.
  12. Crawl through the vent, stopping at the first opening. Shoot a gyrodisk at the handprint switch to shut down the red lasers lining the floor. Continue to the second vent opening, and fire a gyrodisk through the broken glass at another handprint. With all the red lasers shut down, return to the first vent opening and climb into the hallway.
  13. Grab the three pearls, and follow the path to a Purple Square switch. Open it and take cover behind the waist-high shield.
  14. A single guard patrols through a room with several blue laser barriers and laser turrets. Be very careful taking out the guard. Wait for him to show his back, and then hit the air tank with a gyrodisk. Find the handprint now that the guard is gone and hit it. Return to the door blocking your path, running, as you only have a limited time. Use the forward roll if the door is low.
  15. Run ahead, you’ll see a cargo elevator with two crates. Before stepping onto the elevator, sneak into the shadows projected by the first crate. Wait for the shadows to shift, and then sneak towards the second crate. The shadows will continue to shift, cluing you into where guards will be stationed as the elevator rises. Stay in the shadows and wait by the second crate. Eventually, a guard will actually enter the front section of the elevator. Wait behind the second crate until the elevator stops. Once you’re stopped, that’s your chance to take out the guard.
  16. Exit the elevator and climb onto the waiting crate near more blue lasers. Crawl into the vent, and kick open the vent cover. Shut down the lasers to rejoin Double H and leave.


Slaughterhouse Road

  1. With the 15 pearl upgrade installed into the Hovercraft, you can now enter the Slaughterhouse. Use your compass to find the entrance to the Slaughterhouse Race Tracks. Jump over the red laser fence to reach it.
  2. Instead of entering the Slaughter House through a normal door, you’ll use a secret entrance instead. The secret entrance is inside Race 3, enter the race and you’ll be on your way.
  3. Don’t worry about winning the race or staying ahead, just look for the secret entrance. After taking two large u-turns, you’ll find the secret a passage slightly hidden from the races blocked with lasers. Jump the lasers to get inside the Slaughterhouse.
  4. You’re now on the Slaughterhouse Road. Keep some repair items handy for now. Just follow the raised bridge, leaping over the cracks. The trouble starts soon enough as the Spider robots open fire on your hovercraft. Race forward, leaping over streams over fire and dodging the beams the Spider robots launch.
    Use the ramps to your advantage, jumping as your drive over them to give you an extra boost. Continue on the road. If you fall off, double back to a ramp to get back onto the raised bridge. Follow that until you reach the Slaughterhouse Quarter.
  5. In the Slaughterhouse Quarter, you’re faced with a few new problems. Large machines glide over the water with spotlights – if you’re spotted the flying machines will launch a painful torpedo.
  6. Look for a cave entrance guarded by a large red mine. The large mines can only be destroyed by pushing floating crates into them, or hitting them with torpedoes. Either push a crate or lead a torpedo into the cave to destroy all three mines blocking your path.
  7. Past the last large mine you’ll have to contend with small mines. Small mines can be destroyed with your Hovercraft gun, but they respawn after a few seconds. Leap over the pipe in your path to continue into a walled off area, find the platform along the cliff wall to dock.
  8. Stop at the vending machine marking the dock if you need to resupply. Head on up otherwise to find an Mdisk player and teleporting DomZ.
  9. Once the DomZ are defeated, squeeze Jade between the partially open gate doors. Push against the right door to wheel it back. Double H will take care of the left door. With the way open, return to the Hovercraft and use the rocks to jump up and drive through.
  10. You’re now in the Exterior Moats. Up ahead are a series of lasers turning clockwise or counter clockwise. Prepare some repair items, as you’re bound to take a hit traversing this corridor. The lasers don’t hurt much, so take the hit if you have to keep moving forward.
  11. As you exit the corridor of spinning lasers, you’ll turn into a fan that pushes you into a waiting mine field. Don’t let the fan take you by surprise and drive between the mines.
  12. Take the ramp up to the next platform, featuring more mines and more fans. Try to stay near the wall so the Hovercraft doesn’t slip off the platform. Keep left, and turn into the long tall passageway flanked by two fans.
  13. Jump out of the vent, and you’ll be in yet another red area, this time with multiple directions. Turn left to see a passage blocked by two large mines – this is the direction you need to go.
  14. Push a nearby crate into the first mine to destroy it. Then turn around, ignoring the circular passage for now. Instead, head through the twin doors across from your goal. Follow into a room with three gray passages. Use the center passage, ignoring the left and the right passages. Drive up the ramp to push off another metal crate.
  15. Use the new crate to destroy the second large mine. Dodge the mine field ahead and you’ll finally reach the Slaughterhouse Entrance.

Slaughterhouse Entrance

  1. Dock along the dry platform and look up at a windowed booth above you. Shoot a gyrodisk at the visible button to open the gateway.
  2. Continue into the Surveillance Room. Stop and dock the hovercraft at the large metal gate. Follow the pipe; you’ll need to shimmy between a gap in the machinery to continue. The squeeze is too tight for Double H; you’ll have to find another way to get him up.
  3. On the top, you’ll immediately fight an Alpha Sections attack robot. This one flies left to right, firing a machine gun at Jade. Run to dodge the fire, shooting gyrodisks at the green air tanks when the robot pauses. Once both air tanks/engines are destroyed, you’re free to continue.
  4. Don’t run across the lasers just yet. Instead, move to the very edge of the raised platform and peer across with your camera. Zoom in and watch the gears. Between the gear’s gaps, you’ll be able to fire a gyrodisk into the hand-print button. Try to hit the button from here, it controls the large gate. When the gate begins to rise, quickly run down to your hovercraft.
  5. Jump into your hovercraft and dock on the other end of the gate before it closes. This path will allow Double H to follow Jade.
  6. Use the large machines in the corner as stepping stones until Jade reaches a flat surface of the gate she can stand on. Order Double H to activate the gate switch. Now Jade can climb even higher up. Hop onto a protruding pipe to climb into a circular opening.
  7. Inside the Trolley Entrance, jump to the ground floor and knock the Guardian into the electric fence. The Guardian’s shield goes down right after it fires.
  8. Continue past the broken electric fence, opening the locker for a few goodies and climbing into the vent shaft.
  9. Hopping out of the vent shaft, take a picture of the map on the wall before leaving.
  10. Wait for Double H to return to your side in the Surveillance Room, then return to the Trolley Entrance, back into the same room with the map.
  11. With Double H’s help, push the large crate towards the vent shaft. Now Double H can follow you through the vent. Cross the broken electric fence and use Double H’s charge action to blast through those pesky bars.
  12. An Alpha guard will hear the commotion and investigate. Wait near the hallway entrance until he gives up the search, giving you a nice view of his air tank. Shoot it with a gyrodisk, and call the trolley.
  13. The trolley takes you to the Central Hall. In all three wings, your goal is to reach a room overlooking the Central Hall to find evidence of Alpha Section corruption.
  14. Past the vending machine you’ll be ambushed by three robots. Smack all three into each of the electric fences. A button on the left wall will call in more if you make a mistake.
  15. If you destroy both electric fences to your right, you’ll gain access to a pearl and an Mdisk player.
  16. Check the floor, one of the robots was carrying a Triangle Keycard. Pick it up, open your S.A.C. and give it to Double H.
  17. Once Double H has the extra Triangle Keycard, order him to push the triangle switch. Push a triangle switch yourself as Double H pushes his, both switches need to be pushed simultaneously.
  18. Through the double switch door you’ll be blocked by three laser hallways. Order Double H to run through, his armor protects him from the lasers, and hit the triangle switch on the opposite end. This will shut down the red lasers for a few seconds, allowing Jade to leap and duck past.
  19. After three laser obstacle courses, you’ll reach your first bit of evidence. Two guards watch over a large bay window looking out into the Central Hall. Use your camera zoom to check out the pillar device in the center of hall. Take a snapshot as a person floats by, then head back through a Purple Square door.
  20. Return to the Trolley, and head back to the Trolley Entrance, then to the Surveillance Room to get back into your hovercraft.
  21. Once in your hovercraft, follow the water passage to your left and into the Interior Moats.

Interior Moats

  1. There are two locations you’ll need to reach in the Interior Moats: the North Wing and the East Wing. The first in your path is the North Wing.
  2. Follow the left wall until the camera focuses on a large pile of bones leading up to a platform marked “35”. Use the bones as a ramp and dock on the raised platform.
  3. Continue through the door and into the North Wing. The path down a ramp is blocked by red lasers, so inch between the gap in the pipe. You’ll have to leave Double H behind again, so get ready for some serious sneaking.
  4. Turn left into a stone passage. A chasm separates you from a waiting Alpha Sections guard. Don’t try to shoot him, shoot the handprint switch to his left. The floating platform will move across to your side, and the arcing electricity will defeat the guard.
  5. Step onto the platform and fire another gyrodisk at the handprint switch. The platform will move back across, you’ll need to leap over and duck under the electricity.
  6. Move carefully, as you turn the next corner you’ll seen a new threat – floating security turrets. These turrets will activate when the Alpha Sections go on red alert. The turret will immediately open fire on Jade, killing her instantly. When these turrets are around sneaking is your only option.
  7. Stay in the low mist, as long as you’re in the mist none of the guards will see you. Carefully wait until no guards are looking to move forward. There are four guards, all with different patrol patterns. Just take your time and wait for an opening to move.
  8. Past an automatic door, you’ll need a fuse. Kick the power box on the left wall leading into a laser filled passage. After kicking the box, the power will go out. Run through the passage to get the fuse box before power is restored.
  9. Return to the elevator and insert a new fuse into the slot.
  10. After taking the elevator up, you’ll be ambushed by two Guardian robots. Wait for them to fire their lasers, then combo them into the electric fences. Grab the contents of a nearby locker, and run past the other broken fence.
  11. Jade will comment on the unmarked shuttles trafficking kidnapped humans. Mines litter the path, so watch out.
  12. Sneak as you turn the corner into another room filled with patrolling Alpha Sections. Follow behind the first patrolling guard as he turns his back. Then switch to following the second as he turns his back. Move carefully and wait for your opportunity. If you’re close to the exit and a guard sees you, just run inside before they go on alert.
  13. Turn right just as you exit, then right again into a hallway with two rooms. You’ll need another fuse box for later. Enter the room not blocked by an electric fence and push the crate along the wall to reveal a crack.
  14. On the other side of the crack are mines and laser barriers. You’ll need the fuse inside, so kick the power box in the previous room. Race to the fuse box and grab it before power is restored. There’s no special strategy, just try to be quick.
  15. With the fuse taken the electric fence blocking the elevator will shut off and you’ll be free to continue.
  16. You’ll enter another room, this time with a guard on a raised platform accompanied by lasers and mines. Ignore him and sneak through the unguarded door, or try to get rid of him for a PA1 and a few crates of material crystals.
  17. Through the unguarded door you’ll be stopped by another blue laser barrier. Crawl into a vent to your right to bypass it.
  18. You’ll come out in another open room. The patrolling Alpha Section across the gap here has no air tank. You’ll need to get rid of him another way. Above the floating platform is another handprint switch. Shoot the switch while the guard is standing on the platform.
  19. With the guard taken care of, stay low and shoot the switch again, moving you across. Take a deep breath. You’re getting closer to your goal.
  20. Down the passage is another room. Follow slowly behind the clockwise patrolling guards while the third guard near the exit is faced away. Once you sneak by, stick the fuse into the empty slot. The door will partially open, Jade can crawl through.
  21. Turn off the red laser barrier and you’ll meet back up with Double H. Use the Mdisk player if you want, and continue into the metallic passage leading into the Central Hall.
  22. Clamber up and over into the room. There are three guards here and no special items. Don’t bother fighting here. Take a picture near the landing shuttles, people are inside the crates on conveyors. Snap a picture and get back to your hovercraft.
  23. With the North Wing finished, backtrack to the Interior Moat. Pilot the hovercraft once again. Follow the left wall toward the unexplored area of your map. There are torpedo/searchlight flyers patrolling the waters ahead. Follow until you reach the tip of the Moat.
  24. Use a crate to destroy on of the large mines blocking your path inside an interior section. Carefully look out for the mines until you reach a dock on the opposite side. Once you’re docked, check out the vendor if you need any items before continuing into the East Wing.
  25. Double H will take care of the bars for you. He’ll take out the Alpha Sections guard as a bonus. Inside most of your paths are blocked. Kick the power box to gain access to an Mdisk player.
  26. From the room’s entrance, look left. Climb up and kick down the vent covering to search further in. Kick down another grating and climb down.
  27. The next has only one guard. Hit his weak point with a gyrodisk and hit the switch – opening the exit door. The door won’t stay open for long, so run.
  28. Past the closing door is another blocked passage and a locker. Follow the ramp up onto a catwalk looking over a room with three guards and a laser turret.
  29. Hop off the catwalk while the first guard isn’t looking, then follow the shadows. There are three glass vats and a waist high machine in the lower section of the room. Ignore the inner glass vat; use the two vats along the right edge of the room and the waist high machine for cover.
  30. Ahead are more ramps and more blocked off paths. Turn right into a maintenance shaft with an elevator. Push the crate onto the elevator, and then ride it down. Kick the power box and snatch the fuse while the power is off. The elevator no longer has power, so climb up the crate you pushed onto it instead.
  31. Continue up the ramps. To the right of a blue laser barrier is a fuse box in need of a fuse. Stick the fuse into the slot, activating a switch. Press the switch to open a vent. Crawl through.
  32. The next room is safe, just head through a door to your left.
  33. Turn left as you enter the doorway, walking through another wooden door. Just right is an electric barrier. Kick the power box in front of it and run by.
  34. Hopping down, you’ll meet Double H again. There’s another Mdisk player, and a hall filled with mines. Obviously, the mine hallway is the right one. Run through and into the next area.
  35. A swarm of creatures will attack here. Wait for them to leap over Jade, then attack as they land. Give Double H a few extra Starkos in the S.A.C. menu if he’s hurting.
  36. After that encounter is cleared, climb towards the electric fence blocking a climbable path. Order Double H to help and he’ll kick the power box, giving Jade enough time to scramble past.
  37. Next is another room filled with Alpha Sections. Stay in the shadows, and hide in an alcove on the left wall. Wait for the guard to patrol by, and then sneak through.
  38. You’ve made it to the Central Hall. An Mdisk player greets you.
  39. Moving beyond the Mdisk player you’ll find yourself on the outer rim of the building. An Alpha Sections guard won’t budge from his pedestal. Position yourself behind him and peg his air tank with a gyrodisk.
  40. Down the hallway is a vending machine. Stock up and keep going. You’re almost there.
  41. Another guard is waiting around the corner on a pedestal. This time he turns 180 degrees. Wait for his back to face you, and then fire a gyrodisk.
  42. Follow the winding path until you reach an empty fuse box and a blue barrier. To your left are two more guards. Sneak between them to grab the fuse.
  43. While you’re there, look across the chasm to find Alpha Sections equipment and DomZ side by side. Take a picture and publish.
  44. Return to the fuse box and insert the fuse. Through the crawlspace, hit the red laser switch. With the lasers off, get on the platform and activate the Purple Square switch.
  45. Back in the East Wing and home free. Backtrack to your hovercraft.
  46. Now that you’re back in your hovercraft, return to the Surveillance Room. Take the second right, up a ramp, knocking down a grating. You’ll reach another huge gate. Dock and take a picture of the coded monitor. The Governor will send you the password, opening the gate.
  47. Continue to backtrack into the Exterior Moat.
  48. Jump into the circular metallic passage, it’s just left on your way out. You’ll come out into Races 3 and 4 Slaughterhouse. Knock down the grating and drive through the exit.

City / Pedestrian District 3

  1. It’s time to return to the Iris Den with your findings. But before that, you’ll have to deal with another DomZ sea serpent attack.
  2. The DomZ sea serpent is exactly like the previous sea serpent fights, except you’ll need to make jumps across the red laser barriers to chase it. Don’t bump into the barrier.
  3. Collect the DomZ pearl and take off for the Iris Den.
  4. You’ll get a cutscene at the Den, and gain a Green Star Keycard. Run into the pearl room for twelve free pearls.
  5. For now, your new goal is discovering a secret spaceship hidden on the Lighthouse Island. You’ll need the spaceship to get to the Moon. Leave the city and go directly towards Home.

Home / Lighthouse 2

  1. Dock back at Home and return to Pey’j’s Workshop. If you haven’t yet, use the Mdisk player to watch “For Jade”. Pey’j leaves a big clue for discovering the location of his hidden spaceship.
  2. Open Jade’s S.A.C. menu and find Pey’j’s rocket shoes. Press the info button and swivel the shoes around to look at the soles. Two codes are printed there for two consoles.
  3. The first console is inside hangar. Leave the workshop and walks past the exit passage, looking to the left wall. Look for a rocket shoe schematic pinned to a board. Use the board to uncover a secret panel. Enter the code on the right shoe to activate the panel.
  4. Head into the Lighthouse proper, upstairs, and inside the orphans’ room. Another schematic board hangs from the wall, use it and enter the code on the left shoe.
  5. Run down to the first panel in the Hangar. Press the big red button and you’ll get a cutscene.
  6. Follow the path into the secret room. Pick up a few items on the desk – an Mdisk and a special device called a Flight Stabilizer.
  7. Insert the Flight Stabilizer into one of the Beluga’s engines. You can try flying the spaceship, but you’ll need to insert a second Flight Stabilizer.

Mammago Garage 4

  1. Find the second Flight Stabilizer at Mammago Garage for twenty pearls. If you need more pearls, there are a few new areas open to you. Check out the locations below to collect more pearls.
  2. With the Flight Stabilizer in hand, return Home.

Alpha Sections Warehouse

  1. To find the Alpha Sections Warehouse, return to the Pedestrian District. Run forward from the starting position to find a barred door on a stoop. Use Double H’s super action to smash your way through.
  2. Call the elevator and order your companion to push the switch.
  3. Follow the path inwards, taking a left and a right to enter a large shipping room. A single soldier guards the exit, either use cover to sneak past him or shoot him with a gyrodisk when his back is turned.
  4. Into the next room, you’ll face spotlights, laser turrets, and another guard. Use the shadows for cover and don’t stand underneath the moving spotlights.
  5. Kick the guard or shoot his weak point, it’ll be difficult sneaking past him.
  6. Your next obstacle is a spinning laser beam over a circular platform. Step onto the floor plate to activate the door on the opposite end of the room. The door will immediately begin closing. The trick to finishing this section is to run when you aren’t ducking the laser. Just stand up and run, only ducking just as the laser is about to strike. Dodge over the blue laser barrier at the end.
    Grab the pearl and smash the materia crates for some bonus cash.
  7. When you’re finished, you’ll face a double dose of spinning lasers. The same strategy holds true, run while you’re laser-free.
  8. Inside the second storage room, grab the two pearls and as many materia crystals as you want. When you’re ready, head into the open elevator doors.
  9. Up top, switch off the red lasers and cross over. So begins a chase sequence, you’ll be caught no matter what, so just keep running. Run towards the camera, dodging the spotlights and barriers. Once you reach a small square, turn right and then continue towards the camera.
  10. After passing a few blue barriers and a guard, you’ll need to make a u-turn. If you’re pinned to a corner by lasers or Alpha Sections, just keep dodging to avoid taking damage.
  11. Now you’re running away from the camera’s perspective. Follow the railings right across a bridge, then continue forward opposite the camera into an alleyway. Soon you’ll hit a dead end blocked by crates. Climb the crates to safely escape.

Alpha Sections HQ

  1. The Alpha Sections HQ is located across the Fountain Square, just right of Ming-Tzu’s shop. Use your new Green Star Keycard to shut off the laser grid.
  2. Inside, order Double H to activate the elevator to ride it.
  3. There will be Alpha Sections troops everywhere. There’s no place to hide, and plenty of laser turrets. This sector looks daunting, but take it slow and it’s easier than it looks.
  4. Duck under the bridge, walking over some convenient pipes. Shimmy across the wall onto a landing. Sneak behind the guard and climb up onto the next floor.
  5. Onto the next floor, carefully check around the corner. Follow the patrolling guard while his back is turned, and wait for him to pass back around while in the shadowy alcove. Sneak by and climb up the ladder, quickly turning to hang off the second ladder. Don’t climb up just yet.
  6. Ahead, there are two guards patrolling back and forth. Wait for the first guard to turn around, then rush ahead and hide under two pipes jutting out of a machine. Wait in the shadows until the second guard looks away. Sneak on by the third guard, turning around to use the ladder.
  7. Cross over the pipe bridge and leap onto the bridge across a gap. Wait at the corner of the wall for the guard across another gap to look away.
  8. While the guard isn’t looking, hop across and hang. Don’t pull yourself up until the patrolling guard is showing his back. Climb up and duck to his right. Wait for him to turn left, and then sneak into the alleyway.
  9. Use a dumpster to climb onto the ledges of a building. Wait by the windows, another guard is patrolling the interior. He’ll call an alarm if he sees you through the windows. Shimmy along the exterior of the building, taking your time and waiting beside the windows until he passes.
  10. Continue to shimmy until you reach a balcony. Sneak inside and kick the guard, then activate the switch. Enter through the door to claim your prize.
  11. Inside the East District, right away you’ll be greeted with an Mdisk player and a whopping ten pearls. Take them and continue forward.
  12. Use the Purple Square switch and be prepared. Use the forward roll to leap over a pipe, doing the same for a burning pipe. Just across, you’ll be discovered.
  13. Just like at the Warehouse, make a run for it. Don’t stop for anything. Look out for the burning sections of the hall and leap over both burning pipes. Take a left from the camera’s perspective just as you exit the hall.
  14. Run forward, up the steps and over the rooftops. Just keep running, there are no obstructions here. The camera will shift, and Jade will automatically jump onto a glass rooftop. A fighter will shoot at you, run past it, sticking to the center of the roof.
  15. Turn to run away from the camera’s perspective, looking out for the explosions. Forward roll over a falling chimney and run towards the floating Alpha Sections propaganda. Once Jade leaps, you’ll get a cutscene taking you to safety.

Alpha Sections Und. Quarters 2

Home / Lighthouse 3

  1. Trouble at the lighthouse! Rush back, dock, and run up to the destroyed second floor. Inside the orphan’s room you’ll get a cutscene.
  2. Return to the Hangar. Outside you’ll be ambushed by Alpha Sections robots. Avoid their fire and launch gyrodisks at them when they pause. One robot will attack, then two, then one more. Once they’re gone, return to the Hangar.
  3. Activate the secret room. The Beluga is safe. Insert the second Flight Stabilizer, and enter the spaceship for a test drive.
  4. Take a moment to practice the controls. Don’t take too long, another DomZ Sea Serpent will attack. Chase after it, locking on and firing. Its main attack this time is dropping five balls of energy in its wake. Keep some pods handy and you’ll be fine.
  5. Now you’ve got a working spaceship. But, it can’t get into space without a new Stellar Motor.

Mammago Garage 5

  1. The Stellar Motor will be your next purchase. It costs a whopping thirty pearls. Check out the optional areas under the Mammago Garage entries if you haven’t explored them yet.
  2. One new optional area is available, only accessible with the Beluga.
  3. With thirty pearls, fly to Mammago Garage with the Beluga. Choose to land and purchase the Stellar Motor. Leave through the side door to take off.
  4. When you’re ready to go into space, fly high into the sky and follow the onscreen prompt to activate the Stellar Motor.
  5. WARNING: Activating the Stellar Motor will take you into space where there is no return. Purchase as many pods and healing items as you can carry before leaving.

Volcano’s Treasure

  1. Return to the Black Isle with the Beluga. Fly toward the high peak, and into the volcano crater. Drop the hovercraft into the water-filled crater, and drive into the cave entrance.
  2. Dock and run towards the cave. You’ll face a new animal stuck onto the wall, take a snapshot and rush inside.
  3. Climb the wooden beams, hop across the gap to your left, and shimmy across the narrow ledge. Use Double H’s companion action, and launch the orange ball of explosive fungus into the raised catwalk. Now Double H can follow Jade deeper into the cavern.
  4. Leaving the passage, you’ll into a large chamber with two paths. Follow the left path, fighting the Pearl Crochax and collecting them.
  5. Eventually you’ll reach another orange fungus generator. Use Double H’s ground pound, and launch the orange fungus into the raising catwalks across the chasm.
  6. Return to the fork in the road at the beginning of the chamber. You’ll face more Pearl Crochax, which means more pearls! Follow the right path this time, fighting more Pearl Crochax.
  7. Cross the now-lowered catwalks and over into the final room for a large Pearl Crochax battle. Make sure to fight and collect everything you can. Once the action is over, you should have fifteen new pearls.


  1. Welcome to space. Right away a whale will attack with ice shards. Follow the whale, shooting the ice off its body. Once all the ice is broken off, take a picture.
  2. Reorient yourself and fly towards the moon.
  3. When you fly close enough to the moon, you’ll enter Selene. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Apollo Mission.


  1. Fly your spaceship toward the large floating structure above the shielded base. Look for a conical entrance into the Lunar Transmitter. The entrance is marked with blue strobe lights.
  2. Inside the Transmitter Entrance, you’ll find an Mdisk player and a vending machine. There are two doors, one of which that’s across an impassible gap. There is a way across, but ignore it for now. Continue through the door to the left of the Mdisk player.
  3. Stand on a floor plate, ordering Double H to stand on the second. The elevator is now activated, taking you into the DomZ Base.
  4. Look inside the first room. There’s a locked alcove. Continue into the second room.
  5. Take the glass mirror in the back left corner of the second room. Use the mirror on the lowered pillar in the opposite corner. The pillar will rise.
  6. Follow the glowing laser to the glass mirror in the dead end of the second room. Use the action button to interact with the pillar. Turn the mirror to refract the laser towards the mirror you just fixed.
  7. With the laser refracted, turn the laser to shoot into the first room – the room with the elevator. Aim the laser for the crystal above the glass shutter.
  8. The crystal will glow, raising the shutter. Run back to the first room and take another glass mirror.
  9. Return to fixed glass mirror in the second room. Adjust the pillar to face the glass doors parallel to you.
  10. Follow the laser into the third room. Left is a bonus room filled with material crystals. Your goal is to the right. Use the glass mirror from the first room here to fix another pillar. Once it’s raised, adjust the pillar to refract the laser into the fourth room. Aim for the crystals, you’ll hear a noise.
  11. With the laser refracted into the fourth room, you can head inside. There are three strange decorations inside the fourth room. You won’t be able to interact with these the same way as the pillars. Readjust them by shooting gyrodisks at either the left or right crystals.
  12. As you enter the fourth room, take note of the three decorations’ locations. There is one to the left, right, and center of the room. You’ll need to refract the light from the left decoration to the right, and from the right to the center. Once the light beam is bouncing off the center, adjust the laser to face straight forward.
  13. Run across the large bridge, making sure the laser is above you.
  14. Next up is a puzzle room to free Pey’j. Transparent dividers are set up in a pattern. Use the first mirror to refract the light to every other mirror, circling the outer wall in a clockwise fashion. You’ll need to readjust every mirror until every crystal is glowing.
  15. The first wall will drop. Return to the first mirror, simply moving it either left or right. As long as you’re using the first mirror and only the first mirror, the remaining puzzles will be a cinch.
  16. For the third wall, adjust the first mirror left or right in increments until the light refracts into the correct pattern.
  17. With all the walls down, order Double H to charge the pod containing Pey’j.
  18. After the cutscene, continue forward. You’ll face a door with a narrow opening in the left side. Shimmy through the opening and use the elevator ahead.
  19. The elevator will take Jade to the landing pads. Follow the right path, guarded by two Alpha Sections. Don’t bother sneaking, you’ll have to fight.
  20. The Alpha Sections are powerful. With shields, laser guns, grenades, and a hammer attack, they’re a force to be reckoned with. Wait for their hammer attack, dodging left or right, and then unleash a combo while their shield is down.
  21. With both Alpha Sections defeated, use the elevator they were guarding. You’ll be taken to an alien structure.
  22. Turn right along the ledge and run into the circular opening.
  23. Welcome to the Great Crypt. Use the first elevator to your right. Run forward into the next elevator to take you up. Ignore the left elevator and just head right into the green elevator.
  24. Continue down the path until you hit a cutscene. Take your final picture of the game. Keep the DomZ leader and the Alpha Sections leader in frame.
  25. It’s time to backtrack. Return to the Transmitter Entrance. Meet with Double H. As you re-enter the DomZ base, you’ll get a cutscene.
  26. With both companions, you can now return to the Transmitter Entrance.
  27. In the Transmitter Entrance, you’ll need to lower a bridge. First, Jade needs to cross the gap.
  28. Look for a button behind your spaceship, the Beluga. Press it, and climb the machines it is connected to. Keep climbing until you’re face to face with crate held by a crane’s claw.
  29. Hang off the box and order your companions to push the switch. The crane will position you over your spaceship. Fall to the spaceship roof, and look towards the second crate across the gap. Look down for another switch. Shoot the switch with a gyrodisk.
  30. The crane holding a crate will move towards you. Fire another gyrodisk at the same switch. Don’t wait to see if it strikes. Fire and immediately begin hanging off the crate. If you’re successful, Jade will be moved across the gap. Jump down and run across to activate a gear between two beams.
  31. The bridge is now lowered. Order your companions to stand on the pressure switches.
  32. Down the next hallway, a gun turret will open fire. Move in a zigzag pattern to avoid its shots.
    With the gun turret out of the way, enter the tram with your companions.
  33. The tram takes you to the Radio Transmitter Room. Inside you’ll find another coded monitor. Take a picture and send it to the governor for another pass code. Enter the pass code for a longer cutscene.
  34. As the cutscene ends, you’ll have to make your escape from the Transmitter. Run back to the tram, through the hallway, over the bridge, and into the Beluga.

Alpha Sections Battle

  1. After another cutscene, you’ll be fighting an Alpha Sections boss. It attacks by shooting beams of light directly forward. Don’t fly into them. Shoot the bright lights. Try targeting them with your charge attack.
  2. With every transformation, the center of the flying boss will light up and charge. Fly away and wait for the spread beam to dissipate before returning behind the boss and firing at its center.
  3. After a few configurations, the boss will generate electrical arcs between its fins. Your range of movement is large, so simply fly around the fins. Continue to target and destroy the lit-up points of the flyer.
  4. With enough hits, the boss will crash into a water filled crater. The tractor beam is still active, so disconnect the hovercraft.
  5. The spider robot’s entrance is blocked by two large mines. Either use the floated metal crates or the torpedoes launched from the boss to destroy both mines. Dock when you’re ready to go inside.
  6. You’ll face off with three Alpha Sections. Liberally apply Double H’s super action to stun these enemies. Once they’re clear, take the elevator up.
  7. When the cutscene ends, press the switch on the console.
  8. The tractor beam is disengaged. Return to the hovercraft and connect to the Beluga.
  9. Alpha Sections reinforcements will swarm the area in a huge dogfight. Prepare pods incase you need repairs and destroy as many of the enemy ships as you can. Hit your boost, and watch out for the balls of energy launched by the Alpha Sections fighters. They fire from long range, avoid flying in a straight line for too long.
  10. Once enough enemy fighters are destroyed, Hilyian reinforcements arrive just in time. Fly for the landing pad in the center of the DomZ base and land.
  11. On the landing pad, look for the central elevator marked with three pressure pads. Use all three companions to activate it. WARNING: This elevator leads to the final boss of the game.

Final Boss

  1. The Final Boss begins by teleporting in swarms of DomZ. Destroy them as quickly as they appear.
  2. Next, it fires a continuous beam. Duck behind Double H’s shield to avoid being hit and fire gyrodisks at the DomZ leader. Watch out, the boss will also launch a homing attack from above, listen for the loud crack and dodge the green pellets.
  3. At the third phase, the boss summons Pey’j clones and shields itself with purple crystals. Use Double H’s super attack to bounce the Pey’j clones into the air, allowing Jade to launch them at the crystals. Destroy enough crystals to get a good shot at the DomZ leader. For every crystal destroyed, a new DomZ enemy will appear.
  4. As the fourth phase begins, Double H will be removed from the battle. Water will rise, leaving you on the elevator platform. The DomZ leader will teleport around you and attack after a second. Immediately strike it as it appears. Dodge if it tries to attack from above.
  5. Next, clones of Double H appear. They attack like Alpha Sections, using a shield and hammer. Sidestep his hammer and attack; one blow will turn the clones into DomZ. As more clones are destroyed, the leader will launch more homing attacks, so be careful.
  6. Now, time slows down as more DomZ teleport in to attack. Only now, your movement controls are reversed. Use this period to practice the controls, time is slowed down and the DomZ aren’t much of a threat. Just attack and to keep in mind which direction is which.
  7. Once all the DomZ are destroyed, the boss will attack you again in a repeat of the fourth phase. Except, now he moves faster and your controls are reversed. Keep a cool head, keep healing items handy, and attack before it does.
  8. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Beyond Good and Evil.
  9. Congratulations! You’ve finished the game.

<thnx a lot for this i was so clueless after slaugtherhouse road tells me to fire torpedos but doesnt work heh aftr this it was easy getting in so thnx i can resume the game
