BioShock Infinite Board Game in the Works
Seems you’ll be able to play through BioShock: Infinite on your PC or TV as Booker DeWitt, and then experience it from another perspective on your kitchen table.
A new game being created by Plaid Hat Games, called BioShock Infinite: Siege of Columbia, will bring tabletop players into BioShock: Infinite’s floating city of Columbia, but don’t expect it to feel like a video game. The creator have said they aren’t interested in recreating the video game experience, but in focusing on other elements: namely, the civil war raging in Columbia during the course of the game, between the well-off Founders and the popular Vox Populi.
You take control of one of the factions and need to try to wrest control of Columbia from the other. You’ll do that by trying to influence events and, it sounds like, playing politics as you work around the game board and manipulate the 52 miniatures that come with the game. You’ll also engage in “combat” with other players (and with BioShock: Infinite protagonist Booker), assassinate leaders and so on.
No word on when BioShock Infinite: Siege of Columbia will be available, or what it’ll cost.
