Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea Part 1 Review Roundup

The first piece of story DLC for Bioshock Infinite, in which one version or another of our heroic duo from the main game hang out in Rapture for 90 minutes or so, is out now, and you can have at it. Or since this is one of those short DLCs that costs $15, maybe you’ll want to read the reviews. Here is a sampling, ahead ouf Our own review going up shortly:

“Episode one of BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea isn’t a story that sheds new light on BioShock lore, but is rather a story that stitches together two worlds in ways that don’t enhance either of them.” -GameSpot, 5/10

“The story isn’t ruined for sticking to the same playbook, but its impact is certainly diminished.” =IGN, 7/10

“There is very little here to placate you outside of the mere existence of Rapture in the DLC.” -Destructoid, 6.5/10

“Burial At Sea tells an interesting tale with plenty of twists, but it doesn’t have enough substance on the gameplay side of things to back it up.” -The Escapist, 3.4/5

“Given its brevity, splitting Burial At Sea into two parts does look suspiciously like Peter Jacksonesque greed, as counter to expectations as this DLC’s lavishness might be.” -Rock Paper Shotgun
