BioWare Details SWTOR Legacy System, Lets You Make Your Characters Related

After teases of its upcoming Legacy system for Star Wars: The Old Republic, BioWare has finally come out with some details about how you’ll be able to make the characters you create in the game interact, so to speak.

BioWare released some of the details in an interview with GameSpot. The Legacy system is designed so that when you create multiple characters in the game, they don’t all have to exist independently of one another — you can make your alternate bounty hunter the angry brother of your Imperial sniper, for example, or create a pair of twin Sith, with a male warrior and his twin sister female inquisitor.

The benefit of Legacy, outside just giving you something else to dump time into as you create a family tree for your alts — you’ll get some experiential or customization bonuses out of it, too. BioWare didn’t give any details, but expect the system to be at least somewhat worthwhile for people who aren’t just anal and obsessed with their MMO characters.
