BioWare Says EA Doesn’t Tell Them What To Do

Greg Zeschuck spoke with Eurogamer recently and told them that BioWare totally does their own thing, man. EA doesn’t tell them to do anything!

One thing we commonly see is when fans don’t like something we do, they put in the comments, ‘Oh those EA guys, they’re making BioWare do…’ And I always chuckle because we are EA, we’re BioWare – we’re both, and we still have huge autonomy in terms of what we do.

We’re not being forced to do anything or told to do anything. We make the decisions. We take input.

It’s just funny when people say that, because it’s not actually remotely true.

I refuse to believe this. What other explanation is there for for rushing out a Dragon Age sequel or Mass Effect’s slide toward Call of Duty: Future Warfare or the existence of SWTOR? Good try, though, Zeschuk.

Bioware is getting paid to take it in the ass. Why complain about there sugar daddy? They will loose money if they do that. RPG king has been going down the toilet for a while now and coming of DA2 only shows what we are in for with future Bioware titles.

”And I always chuckle because we are EA”

”we still have huge autonomy in terms of what we do.”

So um…. If they ARE EA but they still have autonomy from EA?

Next time they should try not contradict themselves in the same sentence.
