Table of Contents

Questionable Ethics

  1. Head into the control room to the left of the door and activate the fire control to burn the creature. Crouch under the metal blast door.
  2. Move down the hall passed the target practice and into the next room. On the left there will be a small room with a dead security guard in it. You can pick up a crossbow here. Move up the stairs to the control room on the right.
  3. Activate the door release on the control panel. The closed door next to the crossbow-room will open. A bullsquid will come out. Press the button to the right of the console to fire.
  4. The weapon will begin to charge up and eventually fire at the bullsquid. If you pay attention closely, the mysterious figure with the suitcase will be visible in the window directly ahead of you. Move back down to ground level.
  5. Continue forward and crouch under another blast door. Walk into the male restroom. Walk until you find a security guard. Listen to him and recruit him. Move down the hall into the lobby.
  6. Kill the soldiers in the lobby. Turn and head towards the door labeled as Lab B. Continue forward into the next area. Walk across the catwalk until you reach another control room.
  7. Activate the emergency Tesla discharge. Wait for it to go off and head to ground level. Move out through the door and kill the soldiers in the hallway.
  8. Move up through the hall until you find a room with another Tesla discharge button. Activate it and wait for it to go off. Head back and through the nearest door to your left. Follow the hall straight ahead and passed the room where the charge went off.
  9. There will be a room marked with a biohazard sign with scientists and a surgical unit inside. The guard will stay back and watch the scientists. Go towards the staircase marked with Lab D. Move up and turn right towards the bullsquid.
  10. Kill the soldiers and bullsquid. Enter the room with red lasers inside of a red pipe. Press the button on the console to fire. In the split in the hallway, go left away from the lasers. Don’t go too far, as a weapon will fire.
  11. You will hear it overcharge and explode. Follow the sound of the explosion and find the dead scientist and guard. Pick up the prototype gun.
  12. Find the room marked with Aux 03 and press the fire button on the console. Follow the blue laser passed Aux 04 and head into the Primary room.
  13. Unplug the shield in the back of the room. Head over to the console and test fire the laser. The laser will burn a hole through the wall. Use it to jump down to the next area.
  14. Use the door to reach the scientists that you saw before. Open the door to the surgical unit. Dodge the blades. Upon contact, they will cause instant death. Press the power button to the right of the machine.
  15. Once the machine is powered off, lead the scientists to the security guard. Follow the scientists to the lobby. They will stop in paranoia. Wait for the scientist to open the containment lockdown door.
  16. Go into the lobby and prepare for a heavy firefight with soldiers. Once you neutralize all of the enemies, the scientist will open the containment lockdown door again. Follow them into the lobby.
  17. After talking to the scientists again, they will open a door to the surface. The scientist will be gunned down. Kill any soldiers and sentries in the parking lot. Head down the road to the right of the lobby into the tunnel.
  18. Fight your way through the tunnel. Walk to the end of the road and press the blue button on the wall.

the new fast female like enemy i couldn’t get expolsives set right but that revolver you get1 hit ko all 3 of them

This “walkthrough” sucks. The character cannot even jump at all and many of the puzzles cannot be solved according to what this says. I have had to complete them using other means, such as stacking boxes up to get out of an area because the SOB can’t jump!

Now I am stuck in the sewage area at #15! BS!!! You can;’t avoid them and you can’t slow down! F this “game”

Missing out KNERD, just beat the game and had a lot of fun. the puzzles are headache level hard, but you’ve got to master the ctrl-space jump and shift-jump to solve the puzzles.

i found this walkthrough pretty strange , it seems to be mixed up with the original halfelife , i have got to lambada core and i am going around the cliff, up i go but cant jump any further , this part is not even in the walkthrough , and also agree it is not possible to jump some of the distances (and yes i do know about using the ctrl key) so you have to build a platform with drums and pallets , score out of 100 would be 30 , i wonder if this person has ever played the game ,

Hey crusty! We’re here to help, but we’re going to need a little more information to solve this problem. Can you list which part of the Lambda Core guide is giving you trouble? Just a number of the entry is fine.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Also, make sure you’re using the Long-Jump Module when that becomes available in the Lambda Core, or Shift+Jump to make longer jumps when necessary. Many of the jumps can be tricky, but if you’ve still got problems, we want to help address them.

ok Kevin Thienhaus ,, fairs fair , first off i’m disapointed because Black Mesa is great in some ways better than original ,. OK where i am at present is “bm_c2a5c” up the cliff where i have to do a massive jump it looks like to get up the top , i will go back in my saved, to start of lamda core and find the long jump module , but from memory when you have passed that , you cant go back , if that is so then you should not be able to bypass it , i’m a bit confused on where the walkthrough is upto (as for me i’m always confused ) but it would be 13 onwards, and where is the part about going around the side of the cliffs ,, A bit of a ramble but i hope you get it

#29-After activating the override, the water level will quickly rise. Swim towards the entrance and swim up to the ladder.

There is no ladder in the exit hole.

@Jappy,

There is indeed a ladder — the first emergency exit from the sewers will have a broken ladder. Don’t fret, because if you’re going the right direction, toward the opposite side of the door you first dropping into the sewer from, you will find an exit with an intact ladder.

I love the game, but like the others, the character can not jump near high enough. If you could make him jump twice as high—-gosh what an improvement.

Try using your brain KNERD. You might find you actually enjoy gaming that way. Or you may just be better off just watching movies and fantasising you are the main character. This walkthrough is good to get a kick start on areas you get stuck on and Ive found it good. Gives you enough to keep moving but still lets you work stuff out for yourself. Good work guys.

I start generator, talk to the scientist, but after I reach that red button and press ‘E’ to start rocket, nothing happens.!!!

Can you pinpoint exactly in the walkthrough where you are having trouble?

If it is “Blast Pit” make sure to hit both red buttons. There are two, each in separate rooms.

Where the heck have I been?! Just started playing this and its 2013??? I never got to play half life 1 but I loved 2 n da episodes 1n2. But yea. This blows the orange box copy away. Though the crouch, jump, sprint is taking some doin…lol.

Great walkthrough. up until the blast pit part. I restarted the generator successfully, and the scientist told me power was restored, so i went back to the control room to hit the “fire” button, but the button won’t work. any other switches i have to throw first? its gonna suck to have to go back through all that.

@levi,

Hmm! I believe you need to return to the missile silo with the tentacle monster. There should be another path to go down that leads to the gas pumps. Get those working, and I think you should be good to go.
