Black Ops 2 Has Highest-Ever Pre-Orders At Gamestop
Maybe you’re someone who never pays attention to anything and has never heard of a little series called Call of Duty. If that’s the case, I would also strongly suggest you do something about that panging feeling in your stomach – it means you’re hungry and you should eat. Also, that pressure you’re feeling in your lower abdomen? Hit the bathroom. Now, once you’ve attended to those other things everyone should just know about at this point, peep this: People apparently really, really, really like playing Call of Duty games. We know this (for the millionth time) because the upcoming Call of Duty: Black ops 2 is absolutely killing it in preorders.
So says Gamestop. “Consumer anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is tremendous. We are seeing the highest pre-orders in history. With its current pace, this Call of Duty is on track to break records and is likely to be our biggest game launch of all time.” Last year’s Modern Warfare 3 was ultimately considered something of a disappointment by fans of the series, or, more accurately, something of a let down after Black Ops 2, which my scientific sample of 9 year olds tells me is the only thing kids have thought about for the last 2 years. However, MW3 still made more than a billion dollars, and was the third CoD game in a row to break sales records. Let’s assume that Black Ops 2 is on track to beat that.
