Black Rock Studios Closes Down For Realz

Disney’s Black Rock Studios, long rumored to be on the way out of existence, is now out of existence. The UK-based company shut its doors for good on Friday, which should make everybody sad considering they were responsible for the absolutely brilliant Split/Second, a game so good I played it drunk on my birthday last year. Seriously, it’s great.

The announcement of the studio’s closure wasn’t really a big thing; we just heard about it on Twitter on Friday from former employee Nick Baynes.

@blackrockster¬†officially closes it’s doors today. Thoughts go out to all facing their last day. A bright future awaits all though I’m sure!

Sad sad sad.
