Blacklight: Retribution Changes Gun Handling, Stats System
Have you not tried Blacklight: Retribution yet? For shame. If you’ve been letting it sit on the backburner, you might consider giving it a try now. Blacklight has done two seemingly-minor changes that vastly improve your experience blasting away at all those dubstep robots: more predictable gun handling and an improved statistics system. Recoil now has a cap on the vertical drift, while horizontal drift has been increased. No more blasting away only to end up looking at the ceiling! Incorporated with the change to recoil is the removal of random spread. Rather than having the gun spray everywhere, it will shoot exactly where you are pointing. You’ll just drift a lot more, which means that skilled players can get insane accuracy with good aiming.
The stats changes are a little more for the benefit of the stats-obsessed. They are a lot more granular, all the way down to how many bullets you use on average to kill a target with a specific gun. Interestingly enough, the stats system is now its own unlock progression, as stats only show up once you have score in them. You can check out info on both of these updates at the Blacklight website.
