Blizzard Introduces Tutorial Videos For Instant Level 90 Players

As you may already know, Warlords of Draenor will include a free instant level 90 upgrade for one of your WoW characters. With this upgrade, you get new level 90 green gear and, if your character was above level 60, an instant level to 600 on each of your professions.

From a business standpoint, this is a great idea to help get new players in to see the new content of the expansion they just purchased. From a players’ standpoint though, this is a bit of a headache, especially for random groups. Sure, as a player, I love to see new faces in random dungeons and raids but, I expect that they at least have the fundamental understanding of their class. I don’t think that minor requirement is too much to ask and I’m sure any WoW player would agree.

Thankfully, Blizzard agreed too, and decided to help those newer and older returning players out a bit. Below, are “crash course” videos for each class that last just over 2 minutes each which will explain the basic gist of how your character and its mechanics work. Now, hopefully, you’ll be a little better starting those dungeons and raids and hopefully have a bit more fun being a little more comfortable with your skills.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor is expected be available this Fall. Keep in mind that Blizzard follows the Valve Time, though. Expect delays.

Instant advancements are just dumb. if you dont want to play the game, then dont play it. simple really.

@rickshaw – The sad reality is WoW is built around endgame content. The leveling process is fun once or twice, but is nothing but a chore after a while. I don’t think anyone actually enjoys the 80-85 grind at all.
Personally I like the paid jump idea, but the price point is just too high. I hate leveling alts…but I don’t hate it enough to drop $60 a head to avoid it.

A wonderful message to the outside world. If you can’t be bothered spending time gaining experience and earning your way to better things, just have more money than the competition so you can skip all that boring crap.
