Blizzard Prepping Tons of Changes, Blogs for Diablo 3 Patch 1.0.4

Blizzard has just released a preview of the big explanation it’s planning to go with Diablo 3‘s next big patch, v. 1.0.4, running down a number of categories that will soon be receiving changes.

According to a post on the Diablo 3 forums, Patch 1.0.4 will include “system changes,” “legenderay item improvements,” and “class changes” before the end. Blizzard is actually preparing something like five developer blog entries with full rundowns of all the changes in the patch, both by category and in the traditional “patch notes” format.

What isn’t provided just yet is an update on when the patch will be finished or deployed. We’ll be keeping an eye out in the meantime for further developments and information from Blizzard as to when 1.0.4 will be available.

In the meantime, how do you guys feel about Diablo 3? Some forum posters have called 1.0.4 a make-or-break moment for the game — what do you guys think?

If I had know Diablo III was going to be constantly patched, updated & tinkered with like an MMO, I wouldn’t have bought it. I don’t know if they talked about it during development (I really wasn’t paying attention), but it certainly makes me feel foolish to have bought it thinking it would be a typical single-player game experience (albeit one with access to an online auction house). Oh well, serves me right.

If they can make it just slightly more like diablo 2 then yes.. People will come back. Make och break moment it is.

I still enjoy playing D3 but so many problems could’ve been avoided if they had let us beta test the whole damn game not just the first 45 minutes.
