Blizzard’s Titan Team Is Over 100 People

The team that Blizzard has working on its mysterious Titan project consists of over 100 people now, according to vice president of game design Rob Pardo.

In an interview with Curse, Pardo said:

“We are definitely in the middle of development at this point. The team is over 100 people now.”

Pardo also explained that core development started small, with teams of two or three hashing out concepts, taking four years to grow to its current size.

Little is known about Titan other than that it will be a new IP and that it has been in a playable state since last year.

After the fiasco of Diablo 3 and WoW becoming less and less popular, I can imagine the pressure for Titan to be really, really good…

Or only Starcraft may save Blizzard from the downward spiral they’re stuck into…

I predict corporate cashcowism has been baked in from the drawing board. Hopefully by then we see a revolt against these the damn DLC and micro-transaction systems.

Couldn’t agree more with Derek and Patches. Blizzard isn’t invincible despite their mountain of cash. My prediction about Titan? A MOBA disguised as an MMO that will exemplify everything that’s wrong with the genre. The next great MMO is almost certain to be born on Kickstarter.

So this is why MOP sucks so bad.

Well I dont if other people dont know yet, but Titan I believe is a new WOW game. Visually better than all the MMO’s out right now. Plus the story is going to be about the”TITANS” or the Pantheon which consists of Aman’thul, Eonar, Nor’gannon, Aggramar, Golganneth and Sargeras.

As for the WOW that is out know it is focusing on the old Gods so its going to be two separate storylines done by 2 different teams. Another reason is that I believe they have 2 expansions left with the current WOW which would end at level 100. According to WOW lore there are 4 old Gods which are C’Thun, Yogg’Saron which we fought already. In Mist of Pandaria Y’Shaarj is mentioned and will be the next old god probably a patch and the last old God will be the Emerald Dream expansion which is N’zoth who controlled Deathwing.

As for the final expansion the final boss will be Queen Ashara. Since WoW lore says that the only ones that can match her are Sargeras and Kiljaedan and Sargeras is a Titan powerful enough to defeat an old god so technically Queen Ashara is more powerful than the old gods.
