Blizzcon 2010: Blizzard’s Uber Fans Caught on Video

Ok, fan events are great. Developers get to interact with the consumers on completely new levels.. I just wonder if this is what the gang at Blizzard expected when they showed up for the fan question segment this year at Blizzcon.

Now I’ve heard of obsessive fans at Star Trek cons, but Red Shirt Guy is really impressive in his knowledge of obscure fictional characters in World of Warcraft. Really he is.

Then there’s this clip:

Nerves can make you do strange things.. but our pirate friend here does every nervous reaction you can imagine, including spontaneous crying. Then he realizes he’s got a chance to be funny and executes the most disturbing leer I’ve seen in awhile before he’s denied his second, follow-on question and legitimately breaks down. He goes from funny to pitiable in an instant. It’s too bad.
