BlizzCon 2011 Dates Announced

If you’re one of those folks who makes the trip out to the Anaheim Convention Center each year to see what new stuff Blizzard is cooking up, it’s time to make some travel plans.

Blizzard has announced (via a press release) that their annual convention will take place October 21-22. Of course, it’s still in Anaheim this year. Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime had this to say about Blizzcon this year:

We look forward to holding another exciting BlizzCon this year, filled with some great entertainment and competition, as well as the latest news about Blizzard games. BlizzCon is built from the ground up with our community in mind – we’re pleased to be able to host an event where players can come together to have fun and celebrate their passion for gaming.

We were at Blizzcon last year, and we’re planning to bring you all the news from the convention this year as well. Last year’s focus was Starcraft 2, and I have a feeling that we’ll be hearing a fair bit about Diablo 3 at this year’s show.

No word on what tickets will cost, or how many are going to be offered up. You can keep an eye on the official Blizzcon site for that info to be released.
