Bodycount Devs Explain Visual Choices in Second Behind-The-Scenes Video

So I haven’t had a chance to actually play Bodycount, unlike fellow Game Fronter Jordon Justice and his hands-on preview, but everything I’ve seen in these dev diary videos being released by Guildford Studios has me excited. Last time the developers were talking about the guns they put into the games and how they built them to handle, plus the way bullets tear up everything on the screen at all times. That’s pretty awesome.

This time around, the discussion is about art choices and the visual style of the game. From color to character models, you’ll actually get some interesting discussion about the choices for the game in this trailer, instead of the usual “look how cool our game is” doublespeak that comes from developer diaries. Worth a look, if you ask me.

I love when games actually think about how the environments look. I mean, yeah, you can have brown and gray, but that’s not even realistic. I’m not sure if Bodycount’s for me, but at least it’s a good sign that games are putting a focus on thinking through their visual style.

Also, I’m pretty much ready for good destructible environments.
