While exploring the Oasis in the first expansion to Borderlands 2 from Gearbox, you might come across a rare new currency called Seraph Crystals. These glowing items can be traded for the new Seraph-level rarity guns and relics in the town of Oasis, but you’ll need lots of them to purchase the full set. There aren’t many ways to get your hands on these crystals, but if you’re willing to put in the work, you can save yourself weeks of slow grinding and speed up the process. Check out the tips below.
During the campaign, you’ll be able to collect a new form of currency called Seraph Crystals. These crystals can be exchanged with a special vendor in Oasis for extremely rare new guns and relics.
After completing the main story quests and side-quests, the only way to gain Seraph Crystals is by fighting the two new Raid Bosses; Hyperius the Invincible and Master Gee the Invincible.
If you want to fight these new bosses, you’ll need to complete the story quests. Return to Oasis, and talk to the NPC Shade. He’ll send you out to defeat these two. The quest resets once every 24 hours.
To “farm” or gain more of these crystals easily, you’ll have to fight Gee and Hyperius over and over. But, you’ll only be able to do so every 24 hours.
Get around the 24 hour restriction each time you fight by saving and quitting after defeating one, going offline, then changing your console or PC’s date 24 hours ahead. Go back online, and you’ll see that the Raid Bosses will be available to fight once again.
It’s suggested that Hyperius is your best bet. He’s slightly easier and can be defeated solo without a team if you’re armed with legendary equipment. Defeat him for about 8 crystals per fight. Gee provides 16 crystals, but his increased difficulty will make a team (including at least one Siren) necessary.
WARNING: Currently many players have reported that crystals do not drop from these bosses in the X-box 360 version of Borderlands 2.

After completing the entire captain scarlett DLC, I did not find 1 seraph crystal during the entire story. Are they even real?
Yes they are but like the article said, you only get crystals from the 2 bosses after the main story
