Borderlands Goes Platinum Hits and Greatest Hits

Here’s a conundrum for you to consider. Say you don’t own Borderlands, but you’re interested in picking it up someday. So, today, the game gets slapped with the Something-Or-Other Hits label on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and so it’s now $30 retail. But wait a minute. Borderlands has a Game of the Year edition coming out on October 12 for full retail price, but it comes with all the game’s DLC. Hrm. There are four DLC packs (including the new pack coming tomorrow), and they’re $10 each.

I’m smart, and I’m gonna lay some smarts on you right now. If you haven’t played Borderlands, then it would probably be smart to go cheap and see if you like the thing first. Then, if you do like the thing, you can buy all the DLC except for the stupid Underdome one, and then it’s all good. If you have played Borderlands and you know you like it, then you should just wait for the Game of the Year edition. Smarts.
