Bourne Conspiracy Heading to PS3 and Xbox 360

Sierra Entertainment has announced through a press release that a game based on the Jason Bourne series of novels by the late Robert Ludlum will be hitting the PS3 and Xbox 360. Developed by High Moon Studios, Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy will put players in the shoes of the enigmatic Jason Bourne, an elite secret agent who takes on missions around the world until he marks himself as his agency’s most wanted. According to Sierra, the only way you’ll be able to discover Bourne’s true identity and background will be to play the games. The game will follow key plot points found in The Bourne Identity book and movie. Says Peter Della Penna, president of High Moon Studios:

“Our developers at High Moon have collaborated closely with Mr. Ludlum’s estate, the guardians of his creative vision. Our goal is to create a video game inspired by known elements within the Bourne universe, elements that have captivated more than a quarter of a billion people worldwide, yet deliver original story and game play to establish a signature Jason Bourne game experience.”

The game is being promoted as a “third-person espionage action game,” where Bourne will be forced to use his subconscious training to uncover the truth about his past. The game is slated to hit store shelves in the summer of 2008. A few screenshots can be found below.
