Bowling: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on PC Will Support LAN Multiplayer

Twitter is a great way for news to trickle out, it seems. Infinity Ward Creative Strategist Robert Bowling has confirmed via his Twitter feed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3‘s PC version will support LAN multiplayer.

Bowling confirmed LAN in answering questions after Call of Duty XP, and has previously confirmed dedicated servers for MW3 as well. LAN is a cool addition, although it may throw further monkey wrenches in the integration of Call of Duty: Elite into the PC version of MW3, which is already troubled by the dedicated servers development.

“Yes, #MW3 has LAN,” Bowling tweets, “along with detailed class restriction control + default class creation option.

“Ability to restrict any weapon, equipment, perk, deathstreak, secondary, attachment, ANYTHING from being used when setting up game.”

Anybody out there looking forward to some serious LAN parties?

Thanks, PC Gamer.
