In star trek, it's a cashless society. How come no one complained about that setting unrealistic expectations for viewers, especially children who will grow up and find that our society is not cashless like the one in star trek?????

At some point, it's obvious this argument is pure insanity. You just have to trust that people know it's not real. If you bring up children properly, teach them well, support them and prepare them for school and make sure they can get into the work force, that's all you can do and it's enough. You don't need to worry about the bouncing breasts they see when they play games. Just get the important things right. The rest falls into place.

And I love big unrealistic boobs with crazy physics about as much as I love to read sci-fi novels about places and events that do not exist. I love star trek. None of it's realistic or real. A lot of it is not practical or useful, either. When was the last time warp drive helped you? When was the last time a Klingon threatened you to a duel to the death? Of course breasts don't bounce that way or get that big! Goddam! It's not real. End of story. Was fun while I was here.

Where're the normal woman??? Lol. Do you even pay attention?

A while back I was in a forum and they were reviewing some preliminary human models on a test server. The overall consensus was that they somehow didn't look right. People had a million different reasons for it too. It was so silly. I took an image of the female and brought it up into a paint program. I immediately could see what was wrong. Some of her features were masculine! I took them and made them feminine. Simple as that. Problem was gone. She no longer looked like a ghost. She no longer looked sad or depressed. I assume the same goes for the guy. He wasn't manly enough. He was too effeminate.

Odd thing is, I think the two human models I saw were probably the most normal (representations of reality) models I had ever seen in that community. Most normal men and woman have a mix of features. They're not perfect. And most gamers know this. I know it. But we all like to forget reality a bit when we play games. We play them to be in another world. It's separate of this one.

Btw, has anyone else noticed how manly men are in games? They all seem to be tall, dark and handsome. Perfect features. They have deep voices. They act strongly and boldly, things I don't do. They're incredibly intelligent and good with people. None of those things describe me. Am I put off by all of the handsome actors in hollywood? Or by all of the men in soap operas that set unreal expectations? No. Why? Because it's just art. It's fantasy. It's not real. The mistake people make is not realizing it's not real. Isn't that spooky? Not really. Many people believe in the bible, and that's a complete work of fiction. So it does not surprise me people can't separate fiction from reality.

"Here's the main problem in the article..”Honestly, think of all the boys out there who've learned through their video games that women's anatomy comes with independent suspension!” You're not supposed to learn about female anatomy from Video games!!!! If a kid only experiences life through the "window” of his computer screen than video games are the least of his worries! I've had a computer or games console of some sort most of my life (I'm 30 years old). I can assure you that when I was growing up at every possible moment I was trying to learn about female anatomy first hand!! ;) Staring at the girls as they jogged in Gym class, checking out cheerleaders, trading nudie mags with friends and if I was lucky, getting "hands on” experience. :p It may be a problem for those withdrawn, socially isolated boys that play WOW 24 hours a day.. but again, video games aren't the REAL problem in their lives!"

So you want to get rid of bouncing breasts. REALLY WANT TO. Ok.

Lets also remove all of the beautiful people in magazines so that depressed woman don't feel ugly. Lets remove all of the beautiful and handsome actors so that people don't set unreal expectations. Lets start celebrating people making 30,000 a year rather than people making 100k+ a year. I could go on and on.

Seriously. You guys. You girls. The ones that worry about this. You worry too much!

Want to do something useful? Put people in school. Prepare our young people for the work force. But worrying about bouncing breasts is like worrying about secularism in movies. It's sooooooooooo last century.

Let me preface my boob argument with another topic first.. Video games are filled with violence and fantasy settings and when a kid carries a gun to school and shoots people what do we gamers say? Any SANE person can tell the difference between reality and fantasy. If they can't then obviously they have deep rooted problems that videos game only played a very MINOR role in. The GTA series seems to take a lot of blame for this but think about how many copies have been sold over the entire series.. What, a billion copies maybe? If it were such a problem then you would have MUCH MORE acts of violence then the few isolated incidents. Now apply that example to big breasted video game characters. Don't you think gamers know better than to think women look like that in real life?! Just the same way they know that real women don't have pointy ears and cast spells while riding dragons or carry automatic weapons and respawn after being blown to pieces with a bazooka. Seriously, this article insults the intelligence of all gamers.

And somewhat contradictory statements here. To paraphrase:
1) "images don't have any real effect"
2) "sex sells"
If the thousands of images we are exposed to (both voluntarily & involuntarily) on a daily basis had no effect, then there would be no multi-billion dollar advertising industry.

How about a game with guys with gigantic balls that flop & jiggle while they fight? Oh, you don't like it, you think it's ridiculous? Don't worry, there will be ball size & buoyancy adjustment options.

And I'd just like to add, that a man (or men) can appreciate and enjoy "all" that goes with a females anatomy AND STILL think of them as a person!!!

Some would have everyone believe that just because you see an attractive female and you let your appreciation show it's sexist or objectifying.

News flash to all the women/girls reading this...you have more power in a simple smile & polite hello than most of you will ever realize!

Some what to be recognized and treated as a woman but all hell breaks loose of there ever a hint of acknowledging any attractive features.

Well guess what ladies, it's your sex that make you a woman and thus different. Differences provokes interest and biology provides the rest lol

To put it plainly, just because a guy sees and acknowledges that a woman /female has different parts that catches his eye...doesn't mean we don't or can't see the forest for the trees so to speak ;)

We see the whole package, some parts just stand out a bit more than others at first glance!

It's a matter of perspective I guess, but I'd suggest enjoying it instead of trying to fight it...you do realize you catch more flies with honey instead of vinegar right???

Regards and Respect to females and their forms everywhere!

It called make believe, they're fake, it's slightly titillating entertainment meant to garner a smirk here and a smile there...

And similar events happen in a mall or club every day. A girl with a healthy bust and fit physic gets noticed, just the way it is. Yes other other aspects of a person's character like a great personality is just as or more important in the long run...but a good personality doesn't turn heads at first glance now does it ;)

I'm just saying...it's been put in movies and games and ALL kind of marketing for a reason. It gets attention (rightly so imo) and it's a bit of fun.

Best make your peace with it because basic anatomy isn't changing any time soon ;)
