Brink’s Release Gets Bumped Up a Week

The four-week period between April 19 and May 17 was looking pretty weird on the calendar, because not a single major release was hitting shelves in that period (I don’t think Virtua Tennis 4 counts, maybe). I say “was,” because that’s changed now; Bethesda has bumped up Brink from a May 17 release, when it would go up against LA Noire and The Witcher 2, to May 10. Not a bad plan, since those games are single-player affairs and Brink decidedly is not.

But by moving it up to May 10, Brink will have an entire week to itself. It’s too bad they couldn’t push it all the way up to May 3 to fill the void left by Duke Nukem Forever; that’d have been very profitable, I’m sure.

Either way, now you don’t have to make a choice between quality online action and quality offline action. How thoughtful of Bethesda.
