Bungie Denies Destiny PlayStation Favoritism

Bungie wants to assure its fans on Xbox that it isn’t favoring the PS4

There affirmation of the company’s love for Xbox came in a comment from community manager David Dague in response to a fan comment claiming that Bungie’s ongoing promotion for its connected shooter Destiny has been to PlayStation-centric.

“Will you guys give a nod to your Xbox fan base or just keep ignoring them,” asked the fan.

Dague, in response, flat-out denied that the Xbox was being short-shrifted.

“Who’s ignoring you?” he asked. “We’re right here; making a game we hope you’ll love. We’re listening to your questions, and answering the ones we can. If you’re a gamer who wants to play a Bungie game, you’re very much on our mind – every day.”

The fan’s criticism likely stemmed from the various instances where Bungie has showcased Destiny running on PlayStation hardware and as a part of Sony events. Of course, PC gamers may have more to complain about that Xbox owners, considering that the game won’t even be coming to computers.

Why wouldn’t everything they show off be running on the PS4? Of the hardware they’re putting this game on, the PS4 has the better specs, and probably runs on a higher resolution at release like every other third party game for the next gen systems. They’re trying to impress, not underwhelm.
