Bungie Weekly Update Review

halo 3 flamethrower

Halo 3 is 44 days away. Did you shiver with anticipation when I just said that? I’ll try it again. Halo 3 is 44 days away. That’s right. In a little more than a month, we will finally have our hands on this remarkable game. Love it or hate it, Halo 3 is one of the most anticipated games of all time. With the release so close in sight, we are finally starting to get complete information on the game that Bungie has tried so hard to keep under wraps.

Their latest update even slaps away convention, ditching Frankie’s weekly pun sessions into a basic Q&A session with the fans. Here is a sampling of some of the more interesting answers:

Did the female multiplayer Spartan voice make it into the final cut?
Frankie: Yes. You may select gender for voice, the default is male.

Are there weapons and/or vehicles that have NOT been shown to the public yet?

Frankie: Yes, lots.

Is the armor from Halo 1 unlockable or available Halo 3?
Frankie: We have many unrevealed armor permutations, all of which are secret right now.

Does the game support 1080p?
Frankie: Yes, if your system does – through component or HDMI (depending on your TV and 360) and it is (wonderfully) scaled.

Pretty interesting stuff, but I can’t help but wonder how many new vehicles/weapons Bungie has in store. There have been some recent images floating around the web detailing the return of the flamethrower to the Halo universe. The picture above shows the first screen capture of the new weapon.
