By The Roots Of Yggdrasil, Ragnarok Arena Is Hours Of Norse-ish Mayhem!
I thought I’d seen everything Valve’s Source engine could do for me. Endless, endless FPS Half-Life 2 mods that, well, are fun but kind of run together. Finally, FINALLY, someone did something kind of awesome and used the Source engine to make Ragnarok Arena, a side scrolling action-platformer set in a vaguely nordic future where global warming didn’t happen and everything is all frozen and wonderful because it isn’t hotter than hell in my apartment right now. But I digress.
Well, while we were busy being floundered by E3, Exploding Dog Entertainment dropped the Beta 1 version. I grabbed it last night and it’s a blast, like a cross between Rush’n Attack and frost bite. You can grab a copy here and, below the fold, check out the trailer.
