Not bad. It ran pretty good, not that many slowdowns. If i recall, this uses Unreal 3′s engine.
gholoom…..fuck off
by: Aaaa
On October 11, 2007 at 9:33 pm
Call of Duty 4 uses a proprietary engine made by Infinity Ward.
by: Blah
On October 11, 2007 at 11:03 pm
Actually, it uses a modified Quake 3 engine – amazing what that little engine can do… IW has permission from id to rename the engine since they’ve moved on to Tech5. Similar to the blessing Valve got from id for taking the Quake engine, updating it and calling it Source.

Anyone else thinks this looks and plays alot like Call Of Duty 2? ( And dont state the obvious and say that was a WWII game, you know what I mean )
Guess after the recent spat of UT3 engined games i was expecting something, well………… better.

by: Alan

I have a Toshiba laptop with 1gig but running Vista and when i started playing the demo it was so laggy and jumpy.
I went into options and clicked NO, LOW or OFF on everything, switched the resolution to the lowest etc etc and it works fine now.. the graphics are a lot better than COD 2 and 3 even with all the options switched off, the attention to detail is amazing.
Gonna get it for the 360 hope it can keep up with or match Halo 3..
5 stars guys… keep em coming.
by: Core Extreme
On December 2, 2007 at 5:07 pm
Yeah turning down the graphic settings gives the computer a relief and boost of speed. But turning it down doesn’t really give you the full effect of the game and
takes down the screen size which makes the letters and writing almost unreadable.

by: Fred
On January 5, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Hey um, i noticed all my specs go past the recommendation, except for the processor. It says I need a 2.4GHZ Duel Core, I have a 3GHZ Pentium 4. Would it still do good? Like everything maxed out?
by: james

hi my name is james does COD4 (call of duty 4) work on my computer? i have a sony vgn-n38e model type PCG-7y1M plz reply soon ty
by: ASan44
On January 26, 2008 at 6:37 pm
I have a Sony Vaio as well, model VGC-RA820G. I can’t run COD 4 because of the horrible 128 MB ATI Radeon X300 in my system. James, what ever video card you have, will effect whether you will be able to play it or not. Use this website to test your pc for gaming capabilities:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
If you can’t, you need an upgrade, or if your computer is a laptop, you will need a new one.
A solid pentium 4 processor will work COD 4, just as long as you have a decent video card, you should have nothing to worry about. Anything above a 2.4 Ghz. I will be upgrading my video card, so I shouldn’t have any issues.
But using the System Requirements Lab should really help, it pinpoints the strenghs and weaknesses of your pc and will tell you if you can handle it. It is a real useful tool.

I got the full version. Beat it.
I want to get Crysis but I don’t trust them. They get too many cab file installation errors, so you can’t even complete the installation.
