Call Of Duty 4 Public Beta Coming In August

codguitar.jpg

During the Microsoft press conference at E3, Infinity Ward dropped a megaton bomb when they revealed Xbox 360 owners will be able to take part in an exclusive public multiplayer beta for Call of Duty 4. They simply said to check out CharlieOscarDelta.com for details, but nothing concrete has been released about the beta.

It seems the silence has been broken on when we can expect to get to experience the multiplayer beta. According to Grant Collier, Studio Head at Infinity Ward,

“This August gamers will get a sneak peek at what is going to be the best multiplayer game this fall”

With the addition to the perk system, skeptics are a little uneasy about CoD4′s multiplayer since these perks give you some incredible power on the battlefield. Granted, only the information to perks Double Tap, Deep Impact, and Last Stand have been given, Infinity Ward has plans to reveal more perks that will balance everything out. I sure do hope so… for online multiplayer sanity’s sake.
