Call of Duty: Ghosts Gets Pot-Themed DLC
We’ve seen them in almost every multi-player match in Call of Duty (heck just about every FPS title). The Xx420w33d5m0k3rxX’s and their ubiquitous ilk that, not only enjoy smoking cannabis but advertising to anyone that knows how to read that they do it.
Well, it seems that Activision is well aware of this audience and sees them as a possible marketing opportunity. Introducing the Blunt Force Personalization Pack. Yes, it’s real.

I’m a bit conflicted about this content pack. While I feel that if you want to smoke the mary jane, feel free to do so. What you do in your spare time is your business. I also won’t get into a debate about justifying marijuana and how it should be legalized. I do have issue with a company marketing to the playerbase that uses it, though. It’s just like how Bungie had agreements with PepsiCo and Frito-Lay to promote Mountain Dew and Doritos in their latest games.
This DLC feels like a desperate attempt by Activision to try and make themselves look “cool and hip” to the younger audience that will most likely buy this DLC because, you know, smoking weed is the popular thing to do.
