Does Call of Duty: Ghosts Recycle A Scene From Modern Warfare 2?

In the above video, YouTuber “satantribal” compares the ending of 2009′s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to a scene from the just-released Call of Duty: Ghosts. The scenes contain different characters and context, but they look awfully similar, don’t they?

The cut on the left is from Modern Warfare 2 — the ending scene where (spoilers) Price drags you (Soap MacTavish) to Nikolai’s chopper after you…take care of Lt. General Shepherd. On the right is a scene from the first mission in COD: Ghosts, and it looks like the latter is using the same animation sequence from a game four years its senior.

We’ve reached out to Activision PR for comment, and we will update when word comes in. Is this some copy and paste tomfoolery? Or is Infinity Ward pulling a weird, and paying homage to its own game?

If you’re going to pay homage to your own game, and yes I realize IW now is not that same as the one who made MW2, then be a little more subtle about it.
