Capcom Twitter Sparks Mega Man Mess
Mega Man Legends 3 was a Capcom devroom project, meaning they were getting fans involved at every level of production. The project was cancelled this week, and some folks weren’t happy, as is to be expected. Then whoever runs the Capcom Europe Twitter said this:
“It’s a shame the fans didn’t want to get more involved
if we saw there was an audience for MML3 people might change minds.”
Uh oh. @CapcomEU is now aflame. They’ve since clarified that statement, but it’s too late. The clarification: “The original comment was in relation to the interaction in the Dev rooms NOT the fans who have been nothing but supportive”
In other news, somebody on the Capcom Unity boards says they’ve “heard” that folks wearing Mega Man cosplay or even speaks of Mega Man in the Capcom booth is getting booted. I doubt that’s actually happening, though.
