Open for Adventure: Card Hunter Launches Today

A free-to-play mash-up of collectible card games and fantasy adventure board games crafted by the creator of Magic: The Gathering, Richard Garfield, and Jon Chey, Irrational Games co-founder. I’m so in I’m out. It’s called Card Hunter, and after a lengthy beta that had me returning to the official site on a near daily basis for release date updates, it’s here. It’s finally here! Card Hunter is now live and ready for dice rolling and dungeon diving.

Blu Manchu is the start-up studio at the helm, and based on feedback from trusted sources who went hands-on at events like PAX, Card Hunter is pure geeky gaming bliss and not to be missed. My only concern at this point is how its free-to-play business model works. Hopefully this will be the type of F2P game that I want to support but don’t feel forced to open my wallet to compete.

Looking forward to finding out. You can, too, by registering at the official Card Hunter site.
