Casting the Diablo 3 Movie

Plot NPC’s

Deckard Cain – Christopher Lee

A legend. He’s the right age, has the right look, and while his distinctive voice is more sonorous and booming than Cain’s distinctive creak, an actor of Lee’s experience could find a way to make it work.

Zoltan Kulle – Gary Oldman

Another consummate villain. Perfect for capturing Kulle’s smoldering rage and his sneaky attempts to recruit the player character.

Tyrael – Seth Gilliam

A left-field choice, but we think the facial resemblance is there. The makeup people might have to add a few wrinkles, although if Angels are immortal, why do they get wrinkles? Regardless, The Wire is the best television show ever.

Adria – Gina Gershon

The right age, and the right amount of witchy. Also adept at playing both good and [SPOILER ALERT!!!!!] evil.

Leah – Justin Bieber

Full credit to Game Front editor Mark Burnham for this idea. Just add an extraneous braid and the hair’s good to go. Bieber’s childlike innocence is a good match for Leah’s resolute ignorance in the face of the blindingly obvious. More importantly, who hasn’t dreamed of seeing the Biebs [SPOILER ALERT!!!!!] turned into a horrible, three-mouthed demon?

So there you have it, casting directors. You can thank us later!

D3 may be a success moneywise but it’s a flop by every other measure. And this article is tripe.

The first 1/2 of the movie would have to be Error 37, you know, for accuracy.

I think the Demon Hunter is inspired by Kate Beckinsale’s character in “Van Helsing” more then “Selene” from Underworld…
