CD Projekt Being Stubborn About that Witcher 2 Xbox 360 Thing

When like all the details of Modern Warfare 3 were leaked to Kotaku, Activision and co. sprung into action and made a teaser that they released that same day to build up hype for another, bigger teaser they’d show later. They didn’t bother trying any other goofy PR tactics.

CD Projekt, creators of the Witcher franchise, aren’t taking any sort of intelligent route in this whole “OMG The Witcher 2 is totally coming out on Xbox 360″ thing. This is their response, given to Joystiq, to yesterday’s news on that topic:

We’ve said for some time that we’d love to bring The Witcher 2 to consoles, but we haven’t made any announcements to that effect. Our focus has been and continues to be on the PC version. We’re going to be showing off something at E3, and we’ll announce what that is shortly before the show.

So they are going to announce the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 when they damn well please, even though we all know the announcement is coming. This is silly.

It would be nice if they left it pc only, no reason for them to waste time dumbing it down for the console.

This article makes me curious… Why is the author so sure that this console port is a dead cert but yet to be announced?

I too would be very happy if this title remained PC exclusive but I’m not gonna be a fanboy and cry if they want to release a console version. Just please don’t left it affect future quality PC releases!
