CD Projekt RED Thanks Fans for 5 years of The Witcher series

CD Projekt RED has extended a heartfelt thank-you to Witcher fans in celebration of the original game’s five-year anniversary. In a post on the official blog, the team wrote:

“Back when we had originally started working on our first game, we never imagined that The Witcher would gain so many die-hard fans. The fact that we love what we do kept us going through the greatest obstacles, but we wouldn’t have made it without you guys – the players. I guess I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you who supported us throughout those years. Thank you!”

I think CD Projekt RED is one of the few non-indie devs whose thank-you I accept as truly sincere. Rock on, CDPRED.

This right here is a truly awesome game dev. They keep their ear to the ground and listen to their fans, and guess what? They sell a lot and create lifelong fans of their games. And EA wonders why their stock is so low, take a look once in awhile. I can only wish the best for CD Project RED. Really excited about their upcoming game, Cyberpunk.

It never hurts to show appreciation for the people that allow you to do what you do. And I’m with CJ, the company’s reputation tells me this is a real thank you, as opposed to a certain other company that changed the final message in their game after people noted how tacky it was to end a game with an ad for DLC.

Indeed. I cannot wait to pre-order the next game they develop.
