Check Out 13 Minutes of Mass Effect 3 Gameplay (VIDEO)
Between E3 2011 and San Diego International Comic-Con 2011, we’ve seen a fair amount of Mass Effect 3, and we’ve even gotten to play some of it. Yesterday, apparently, some “beta” code of Mass Effect 3 found its way onto Xbox Live accidentally, and now it seems a video has hit YouTube with quite a bit of the content we’ve been privy to up to now, shot for everyone to see.
First, a note: This video is rough. The code is clearly not finished, not polished, and not ready for public consumption. There are also a lot of curious, slightly annoying edits applied to the video, but the demo does include some things we haven’t seen — such as the boss fight with the Atlas mech toward the end, and the fact that Urdnot Wrex appears to be a member of the team in some regard (and possibly a leader of the krogan in an alliance with Earth to fight the Reapers [the garnering of such alliances probably being what Shepard's mission is all about]).
This video also shows off much of what we’ve seen: specifically, the Reaper attack on Earth and that whole “rescue the female krogan” mission we played at Comic-Con.
But remember, this is super-rough, largely ugly and seemingly missing a few touches like Shepard reacting to things happening next to his face in cutscenes. Don’t judge too harshly.
