Child’s Play Raised $3.5 Million in 2011

The Child’s Play charity, which helps to provide children’s hospitals with all sorts of games stuff, did pretty well for itself in 2011, its biggest year ever. Here’s what the charity managed to raise last year:

$3,512,345

A lot of that, you would think, probably came from the Humble Bundles, all of which gave the option to contribute a portion of or all of your payment for the games to Child’s Play. And, as we know, the Humble Bundles have done pretty well this year, too.

So good work, everyone who contributed this year. You’ve undoubtedly made some kids’ lives better.

At first I thought the old Chuckie horror films were sponsoring charities. Bugger.

I’m going to donate to this. Being in the hospital as a kid is the WORST. Video games make it awesome.
