Child’s Play Raises Over $2 Million in 2010

Pretty much every gamer is familiar with Child’s Play, the charity created by the guys at Penny Arcade. A lot of gamers contribute to Child’s Play as well, and last year they contributed more than ever.

In 2010, Child’s Play raised $2,294,317, bringing the charity’s lifetime total to almost $10 million. All that money will be used primarily to provide entertainment to kids who are stuck in the hospital.

Gamers all over the world gave individually, but there were also some big donations from some groups. For example, the Humble Indie Bundle team raised $300,000, the Desert Bus for Hope raised $207,000, and Microsoft raised $150,000 with it’s Gears of War “Fate of Carmine” event.

Pat yourself on the back, gamers. This is a great accomplishment. You can get all the info over at the Child’s Play website.
