Chime Super Deluxe Shlomo Tutorial Trailer (Video)
Last year’s Chime is a limited, but exceptionally addictive – you might say hypnotic, even – game that comes extremely cheap. That’s because it’s the first game released by nonprofit games developer OneBigGame; the 5 bucks you’ll spend go to charity. In return you’ll spend hours basically being lulled into a trance by its unique combination of Tetris and Midi, constructing songs by (among others) Orbital, Phillip Glass and Moby. I’m a fan, is my point.
Initially available only on XBLA, on March 29, 2011 the expanded version, Chime Super Delux was released for PSN. In case you’ve been curious and have no idea how it works, here’s a tutorial video narrated by English beatboxer Shlomo. Also, too, you can’t get more reassuringly competent sounding than the combination of haunting, etherial electronic music and a chipper English accent. Here’s the video.
