Church Advertises with Halo 3

The above photo comes from somewhere in Oshawa, Ontario in Canada. How do you know a hype machine is out of control? How about when Halo 3 is used to advertise God? You heard it here first: violent video games and the big man go hand-in-hand apparently. To not play them would be a sin.

    It would be nice if certain other religious organisations would take a more light hearted view on gaming like this lot obviously do.

    When Manchester city cathedral threw a tantrum over Resistance: Fall of Man I’m pretty sure it would have been more beneficial if they had tried to use it to get people to visit the Cathedral and maybe be a bit more ‘Christian’ about the whole event. I’m sure they could have knocked up some blurb for a tour guide about the similarities of the game bringing man together fighting evil and the Church doing the same thing in real life or some crap like that. With Church attendances in the UK at an all time low they need all the advertising they can get.

    I must say that it is a better approach than the one the church made against Resistance: Fall of Man :cool: …but I really do hate it when they USE Halo’s fame and brilliance as an advertisement to draw people into their areas of practice… :mad: :mad: :mad:
