City of Heroes Turns 3 This Weekend

City of Heroes Box ArtSpeaking of MMO birthdays, City of Heroes will turn 3 this weekend. The comic book inspired MMO, developed by Cryptic Studios and published by NCsoft, was released on April 28, 2004. With over 24 million characters created since its launch, City of Heroes has easily set the bar for MMO’s outside the traditional high fantasy settings. NCsoft has recently released a new retail game pack, the “Good Versus Evil Edition” which includes both City of Hereos and City of Villains, and has another free expansion set for release in the next few weeks.

Seems like all the MMO’s around here share a birthday.
