Those of you out there over thirty who still love gaming, and own a cell phone, will find yourselves blessed with nostalgia as you dive in to this re-made classic. Game developer Glu is bringing Asteroids to your mobile phone, which was released on Atari in 1979.
There’s a pretty cool twist on the game because apparently, there’s the remade version and also a “classic” version available, which I presume looks and feels exactly like the original. Remakes are always fun–especially if they’re done well–and seeing good oldies remade with new technology is always a blast.
It also looks like Glu has included a number of features to give it some replay value such as Power-Ups, different background themes and an updated soundtrack. All this and more, available in August.
