The new trailer for Clive Barker’s Jericho features gameplay footage from the title, which will have a playable demo released on Thursday the 27th. So, two days from now, you will be able to try out this highly anticipated title before it hits stores on October 23rd for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. This FPS looks like it is going to be one bloody, intense, and scary ride through hell – something Barker fans have grown to expect over the years. If you have never seen any movies by Clive Barker, I suggest you start with Hellraiser (1987). That is one movie in particular that I have never been able to get out of my head in the past 20 years since its first release. Granted, it is a bit dated, but the psychological ramifications and the unheard of gore for its time, still sit in the back of your mind like a moist cloud waiting for the day it can creep back into your consciousness and freak you out for a day or two. Watching the trailers for Jericho remind me a lot of the first Hellraiser movie, in so far as the demons you come across. Granted, Pin-Head does not make an appearance in this game (thank God), but the gore and the terror is still there. It is gonna be great!
