CNN recently did an interesting report on violent content in video games and how that relates to the holiday shopping season. For a change, someone actually made a fairly insightful report, citing recent games that aren’t titled “Manhunt 2.” The reporter, Fredricka Whitfield, also portrays violence in video games as something parents should regulate and just be more knowledgeable about; particularly since the parents she interviews don’t seem to have much of an idea about what they’re buying. Although, interviewing a guy from Paste magazine seems a little strange; as does his notion that Assassin’s Creed is the top holiday game this year. You can view the full video of the report here.

I wouldn’t give Assassin’s Creed to my worst enemy.

I could think of a few other games as must buys for XMas over the Creed.
