Comic-Con 2011: Nolan North Is Writing a Book About Uncharted

Nolan North is one of the hardest-working voice actors in the business. His name pops up in the credits for all sorts of different games, but he is best known, deservedly, for his work as the voice Nathan Drake. Good writing and a healthy supply of wisecracks make it easy to fall in love with a character, but Drake is also very well acted, as fans of the Uncharted series will attest — their affection for the fictional swashbuckling hero is accompanied by an affection for the man who brings his voice to life.

This affection is apparently reciprocal. North announced today at Uncharted 3′s Comic-Con panel that he is writing a book about his experiences making the three Uncharted games, entitled “Drake’s Journal.” Rather than focusing on the technical aspects of production, it will be more of a first-person affair — “more like a yearbook,” was how North put it on the panel. Drake’s Journal is slated for release on November 1st, 2011 — keep an eye out for an official Nolan North website that will eventually contain more details.
